From our You're a Doll! Spring 2007: Elegant Gothic Lolita Collection: You're a Doll Finishing Powder... choose from two formulas, Metamorphosis or Parfait!
* Metamorphosis Finishing Powder... An otherworld-ly veil of transparency. This delicately odd greyish-green finishing powder imparts a metamorphosis to your skin when used as a finishing powder. A soft halo with a subtle glimmer of the tiniest twinkle when you turn your head. Frame your face in fairy-like porcelain soft-focus sheen. Use a little, or use a lot. It's your fantasy.
* Parfait Finishing Powder... new for 7/09! You asked for it... you've got it! Metamorphosis is a "holy grail" powder for so many of our customers, but we've gotten lots of requests to make it without the luster. So we've created "Parfait". It's Metamorphosis as you've always loved it... but without the noted sheen/shimmer. We like to refer to it as "low lustre" since it has only the slightest glow.
Ingredients: Contains: Serecite Mica, Mica (CI 77019), Titanium dioxide ( CI 77891), Iron oxides (CI77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), May contain Manganese Violet (CI 77742) or Ultra-marines. (CI 77007), Carmine
Size: Full Size: .75 oz. net volume (approximately 8 grams net weight) is packaged in a clear plastic plastic powder sifter jar.

Comments:Parfait Finishing Powder is exactly as described: greyish-green low lustre with slight glow. Unfortunately, I can\'t seem to get this to work any magic on me. When I lightly dust on Parfait, it\'s like I didn\'t apply the product and I don\'t see any tranformative effects of minimizing pores or giving me a soft-focus radiance. When I apply Parfait more heavily, it gives my face a noticeably green cast. I wonder if Metamophosis and Parfait are more flattering on pinker/redder gals, resulting in desireable color-correcting effects. For reference, I can wear Aromaleigh foundations in W or Y in a 1:1 mix of levels 2 & 3.Note from Aromaleigh: this powder is best for pale skintones. Optimum performance will be on level 1 and pale level 2 skintones. |

Comments:I recently bought Metamorphosis and it compliments my face very well. It really gives a fantastic glow and I love glitter! It also cancels out the redness in my face! :D |

Comments:After purchasing a sample, I'm in love with this finishing powder...I use it nearly every day. Out of both Parfait and Metamorphoses, I personally prefer the latter; used alone, it creates a glow with subtle sparkle and cancels out redness to boot. |

Comments:I ordered a sample of it, as I'd seen alot of the girls with FOTD's wearing it.I LOVE IT! I'll be ordering a F/S once I run out. I did notice that it gives a pretty ethereal glow with inside lighting, but yesterday I wore it in direct sunlight and my face glittered like crazy..I freaked out at first wondering what I rubbed up against, 'til I remembered Meta has the glitter ;] |

Comments:i was really amped about this. are you kidding me, make my skin look even more fantastic & porcelain? hell yeah!when i received it, i put it on before sampling anything else. i was let down. it was just too much glitter. it didn't tone down any redness, it was just all glitter. i went out later & the glitter kept getting into my eyelashes, becoming extremely annoying. i figured i had applied too much & would give it another try, but i lost my sample. ha. it was probably for the better. i'm just not a glitter person. |

Comments:This is my most favorite item of make-up that I have ever owned. It's true that it is great under or over foundation, or even by itself.Helpful hint: Don't apply it with your mouth hanging open -it tastes bad! |

Comments:I'm an Aromaleigh convert (I haven't touched my traditional makeup since being bitten by the AL bug), but Metamorphosis is one of those products that just doesn't do anything for me.Applied with the fiber optic face brush, all I get are bits of glitter randomly strewn across my face. No porcelain doll look, no toning down of redness. Just glitter. I just don't care for this, but everyone's different. I'm glad I only sampled this. |

Comments:The green helps cancel out redness with out making you look like a martian. It goes on super smooth and the slight (and i do mean slight) shimmer makes your skin just glow! |

Comments:This is a great finishing powder! I use it both over and under my foundation. I love that it has a green tint, that gives me some extra help with my redness. It gives a nice, smooth finish. |

Comments:I was a little skeptical ordering this at first, but I'm glad I did. It gives a fabulous flawless finish to my face. It tones down reddness and has a very subtle sparkles that gives your face a slight dewy appearance. Great product! |

Comments:Can't live without! I can't believe how great it makes my skin look. With Metamorphasis I find that I finally understand what an "airbrushed" look is! Don't understand how it does it when you look at the color of it, but it WORKS!!! |

Comments:This stuff is a great! You dont need much either, and its a nice finishing touch. Slight shimmer (nothing too gaudy), and for paler than thou-skintones... I think its a nice way to give both a matte finish as well as a slight glow. |

Comments:What everyone else said. Seriously. Just get it. Don't be afraid of the "you're a doll" bit - they mean it in a good way, not in a creepy baby doll way! :) I was a little afraid at first, but I've been completely won over. This stuff is wonderful. A light dusting when you're done with everything else WILL make a difference - it's subtle not noticeable, in that way that you know you look much better but you're not such how exactly it accomplished that. It'll just add to your aura of mystery! :D |

Comments:There's not much I can add to the glowing reviews, so I'll keep it short. This is amazing. Don't be afraid of the shimmer. It transforms on your skin and gives you an amazing radiance that I guarantee you will love. This is a necessity when wearing a formal gown or even an LBD! |

Comments:If I could only have one AL product, this one would be my must have. Thank God that isn't the case :) I receive so many compliments when I wear this product. My mom says it gives me an "angellic" complexion. My hubby can't stop staring at me when I wear it. I'm very oily but don't find this too shiny. |

Comments:Metamorphosis is fabulous. I have red cheeks with broken capillaries that shine through any foundation I've used until Aromaleigh Glissade + Metamorphosis. I have oily skin as well and do not find this to be too shiny under my foundation. I think everyone with any imperfections should at least give a sample a try. |

Comments:Love this mystical-magical potion for when I'm pale (at levels 1 or 2), but I need a non-whiteing, summer-bronze version for when I tan up to level 3 Warm Voile. Please consider concocting a sultry summer version so that we can "twinkle" all year round. And thanks for all the great AL stuff! :) |

Comments:I wear the 3Y and 3YL foundation. I'm Asian, in my early fifties. I was hesitant to try Metamorphosis at first thinking it would be too glittery just like the Bare Escentuals radiance powders. It wasn't. The effect is very subtle but it gives you a certain glow. I'm very happy with it. |

Comments:I took the word of so many on the forum and gave this a try. Being in my 40's I didn't want to look like I was wrongly trying to stretch a bit too far back in my youth. so I tired a sample first. It's wonderful! Such a subtle effect. You can see a little bit of glimmer here and there when you turn your head, but only if your really looking for it. certainly not a "teen" product. That said, it's adorable on my 14 year old daughter. so It's got a nice broad range. I love the soft focus finish it gives to your face, I even dust it down to the girls when I going out ! I can't live with out my aromaleigh! My husband even offered to help me find a 12 step program the other day after handing me yet another package that came in the mail.... |

Comments:Metamorphosis gives my skin a subtle mysterious glow, great for the Goth clubs! It neutralizes red/pink tones and enhances my Goth pallor without whiteface (and avoids needing to apply makeup to all exposed skin). I haven't tried dusting it anywhere else, but that might be a good idea too. |

Comments:I have rosacea, which means permanent redness on my cheeks down to my jawline and even on my chest. A thin layer of Metamorphosis on these areas as a primer tones down the redness without the chalky look that color correctors can cause for me. Once my foundation and finishing powder are on, the slight shimmer isn't noticeable; I just look well-rested :) |

Comments:Want to look and feel like a Fairy Princess? Well, I do! And this is it, in powder form! It was the first Finishing Powder I purchased from AL and it is the ONLY one I will use! Nothing I have ever tried gives you that same ethereal glow, kind of like you just stepped off the set of Lord of the Rings! An exceptionally brilliant creation that goes oh so perfectly with the rest of the 'Your A Doll Collection'! |

Comments:Since I'm very pale, I'm always concerned with too much color showing up - even with sheer colors. This finishing powder is lovely. Don't be scared by the grey/green tint. It is a lovely ethereal glisten on the skin - it softens your overall look. Great used on eyes as an all-over or highlighting shade, too. |

Comments:This stuff is wonderful. I put it on over my glissade and it just brings everything together. It gives me a pale, but not false looking glow. The shimmer that you see in the jar disappears on your skin. It becomes just a very natural looking, young faced finish. This is among my absolute favorite aromaleigh products. I am going to have to stock up! |

Comments:Unlike most shimmer based products I've tried this finishing powder is very easy to blend. It doesn't leave my face looking greasy, nor does it flake off.I've tried the Physicians Formula finishing powder, but this is by far better and around the same price. It also gives that glowing aura look better than the products I've tried. |

Comments:I love Metamorphosis! Just ever so slightly tinted in a pale green, this knocks out redness without looking heavy or masklike or off. Subtle shimmer I don't see on my skin, but it has to be there because I just look airbrushed, like a magazine page! I use this with a kabuki, the Fiber Optic brush, or the Ultimate Buffer - no matter the tool, it goes on beautifully! What a nice companion to Illuminator and the Coquilles! Sure do gotta love choices in finishing powders! |

Comments:This is a lovely finishing powder. It is very light weight, sheer and will not make dark skin look ghostly IMHO. I thas a very light mellow mint green cast to it to my eye. It has very low subtle sparkle. Hardly noticeable to my eye after applying, then spritzing with rosewater. But it leaves a healthy velvety smooth low glow. I|I cannot tell the difference on my skin between this and the finishing powder I make with Illuminator, some Coquilles, some Perles and Divine powder. Totally interchangale. One could easily even add in some bronzer , darker perle, etcc to the Metamorphosis if you want a darker mix or just more color. Metamorphosis will prove to be a unique product and very mixable/adaptable to ones needs or tastes. I do hope AL will continue to offer this finishing powder or something very similar. It is a keeper. |
