Aromaleigh Rocks! Sonic Eyes have arrived with a bang. This collection of 80 shades spans the rainbow... whether you wish to be sparkling, matte, shimmering or flat-out glowing.
To order samples and/or sets, you may view your options below and click for purchasing details or, simply click on the "Express Purchase" tab above and choose the full size jars or samples you would like, then click the "Add selected items to order" button within that tab.
Like all Rocks! products, the colors are inspired by our favorite tunes...
The Rocks! eye collection is the result of years and years of requests for more vivid colors. Yes, lots of women love the simplicity of mineral cosmetics and the creativity of loose powders and also have a yen for colors on the wild side!
One day, we realized that we couldn't limit ourselves to solely "natural" mineral pigments any longer... but to produce the brighter shades and palette, we'd have to incorporate organic dyes (commonly referred to as D&C in ingredient listings) into many of the colors.
We have chosen to bring you these fabulous loose powder shades as simply and naturally as we could, avoiding unnecessary ingredients and using only those synthetic colorants needed to produce specific colors that cannot be produced with traditional mineral pigments.
Mineral cosmetics as a rule strive to avoid D&C colorants, which is why if you have sensitive skin, we do suggest that you do a patch test- especially if you want to use reds, pinks or purples. Some Rocks! shades also contain high-impact sparkle, so the use of an eyeliner sealant or eyeshadow primer (see product links at the bottom of this page) is strongly recommended to avoid eye irritation from stray pigment particles. It also helps that glimmer to stay put for maximum effect!
We consider Rocks! to be a hybrid mineral/cosmetic product, in that it combines the simple, natural world of mineral cosmetics with the high impact of pigments used in traditional cosmetic products.
Rocks! are intensely pigmented and a little bit goes a looooong way. Like all Aromaleigh cosmetics, they are buildable and a variety of looks can be achieved via application method. Apply them wet or dry... all over your lids, or use as intense eyeliners... anything goes...
Want a soft wash of color? Then apply your Rocks! dry with no eyeshadow primer and a soft brush, such as our Fiber Optic eyeshadow brush.
More intensity? Add an eyeshadow primer and use a dense brush with short bristles to blend, such as your Wet/Dry Eyeshadow brush.
Want some WOW? Then apply your rocks wet, blending them with water or eyeliner sealant. This gives you maximum color intensity, glimmer and longest wear. Taklon brushes work great for wet application, such as our Ultimate Concealer brush.
Some colors are blacklight reactive. These colors are indicated in individual color descriptions. These colors will emanate varying glow in the dark effects when exposed to a black light. Cool, huh?
Rocks! Sonic Eyes shades are packaged in 1.2 gm net wt. clear sifter jars. Sample Baggies are 1/16 teaspoon and are enough for numerous applications.
Ingredients: mica(CI 77019), titanium dioxide(CI 77891), iron oxides(CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499). May contain polyester-3, D&C yellow 5, D&C orange 5, D&C violet 2, D&C blue 1, D&C red 33, 40, calcium sodium borosilicate, ferric ferrocyanide (CI 77510), tin oxide (CI 77861).
NOTE: While we have made all attempts for photographs to accurately depict colors, photography unfortunately does not accurately reveal the depth and interplay of color and effect of these shadows. Also, please note that variations do exist between different computer monitors.

Comments:I got Blue Orchid and Obsession on my last order. These things are unbelievably fabulous! Just put on some primer and the color on your lids will be just like the color in the jar. I decided to layer and blend some areas so I blended with a damp brush. That worked nicely. I have never seen color impact like this with any other brand. I will be getting more colors! |

Comments:I love shadowoflove! I'm a girl that loves simple and sweet colours. I fell in love with this. The glitter isn't too much, it's rather big glitters and the colour is so frickin cute! You should definitely wear a base with this, unless it'll just fall off. Thats no problem, you just wear the base :] But yeah, I'm so happy with this colour, I'm sure it'll be supercharming on anyone. Especially young girls like me, cause it's really just cute... |

Comments:These are easily some of the most vivid and pigmented eyeshadows I have yet to come across. The sparkles do NOT blend out of them which is something I've noticed from other companies when dealing with high sparle high color eyeshadows. They last all day with a primer. Some of my favorites include BlackAngel, GooGooMuck (my favorite green everrrr), and PlanetEarth (which is the perfect bright blue for me)! |

Comments:Another free sample, yay free samples! Colors I would otherwise never try. Hot pink doesn't work on me as shadow. However, vivelrock, described as "shocking hot pink red with tons of aurora shimmer" somehow does. Must be the red plus the aurora shimmer. Looks great as a liner. Yay pink! AL has made me love pink :) |

LOVE BlackAngel, BackInBlack, WhiteWedding, Shadowplay, PleasureDome, DoubleDare, StillInHollywood, DownwardSpiral, DirtyDeeds, LondonDungeon, BlackAngel, and my newest addition DestinationUnknown (wow if I had known it was this pretty I would have got it much sooner!). Fantastically FUN line! |

Comments:These are the most vibrant eye shadows that I've come across. They blend easily and last all day with my eye shadow primer. There are so many gorgeous colors and finishes that they're hard to choose from. BlackAngel, PlanetEarth, Obsession and Estranged are some of my favorites! Definitely give these a try. |

Comments:When I first got those samples, I was like 'oh, um' partly because the colors are vivid, and I couldn't step out of my comfort zone. Prettyinpink is a matte hotpink color that could stain lids. I apply it for a softer sheer look. Jigsawfeeling is a bright in your face kind green glitz. At first, I thought the glitz are quite big for my liking, but I did the recommendation and applied a base underneath it and TADA-a natural glamrous party look! I like to use this wetlined also. For free samples, those are quite generous and I think it could last me over 20 uses. Thanks, miss K :) |

Comments:I bought a sample of Deathvalley and couldn't wear it; it blends in with my skin. :D If I could wear it, I would, though.I ordered several others, which I have not gotten to play with yet (I have colors from other Aromaleigh collections that I constantly reach for), but I tried Rockbottom, and it's great. I have only used Blackcelebration once, and I liked the depth it added; I look forward to playing with it in the future and watching the sparkles in it shine. |

Comments:Psychocandy is a hot pink with shimmer shadow. At first I was intimidated by how bright it was even though it was what I wanted, but after seeing how easy it was to blend with other colors, I was hooked. It's a beautiful color, very blendable, love th bright color. Most def gets 5 stars. |

Comments:On a whim, I decided to add "stillinhollywood" to my last order, since I was curious about the Rocks! collection. I am so very glad that I did! Stillinhollywood is the perfect deep purple with plenty of sparkle to make my brown eyes POP! I have gotten so many compliments on it. It did take me a a few tries to figure out the best way to apply it, since I am new to loose powder eyeshadows, but once I got the hang of it, WOW, I am so in love. I can't wait to try more of the Rocks! collection. |

Comments:Thanks for posting an answer to the reformulation question...you should put that here too. Sorry a/b posting twice, I thought you might of wanted me to re-word the review. A yellow shade that applies bright (but shiny) without the need for a base is sunshine.... in case anybody is looking for that. Yup, I've got a good base, and then atomic applies nice and bright :) |

Comments:As a whole, I love this collection. Some of the colors, like googoomuck and agentorange apply wonderfully with a slight satin shimmer without a base. However, others that are matte, like atomic, apply too sheerly for my taste when using a fiber optic brush and no base. Even when applied with a normal brush atomic is a bit chalky and so it doesn't adhere well enough to the skin for the swatched color on the website to come through. However, a base like the one aromaleigh sells or the cream shadows and/or a wet application solves that problem. But a reformulation of the matte shades so they adhere better would be nice. |

Comments:I ordered quite of a few full sized jars when the Sonic Rocks collection was on sale for 50% off. But after trying them all, none have gotten me the compliments and the awestruck looks like moonage daydream. It's a lovely teal-ish color, almost the color of a peacock feather, complete with the beautiful golden sheen. It makes for a great smoky eye, an intense liner, and when blended with other colors, a magnificent way to add boldness to any look. The other colors were wonderful too (velvet goldmine and rockbottom, to name a few), but I can only hope moonage daydream stays in Aromaleigh's collection for a long time so it can stay in mine a long time too. |

Comments:The Aromaleigh Rocks! Sonic Eyeshadow set is my favorite set from aromaleigh so far. All the colors in the picture are the exact colors you'll see (with eye primer base) on your eyes! Usually I order or go out and buy a color and when its on my eyelid, it's a different shade... thank god Aromaleigh can accually make make-up right! Anyways, I only have adrenochrome but I'm ordering whiteriot, blackangel, agentorange, phsyco-candy, bigneonglitter, heltershelter, spellbound, bluespark and googoomuck so I'll be writing a review as soon as I get my mom to buy me another visa gift card so I can accually order the samples! That'll be a while... This stuff is great so buy it. |

Comments:I got Brown Sugar as a sample some time last year. It didn't look like it would be "my" sort of color but I was wrong. It's perfect for glammed up day wear; a light wash of color with lots of shimmer. I'll wear it along or layered with deeper colors on my lid. I loved this so much I finally bought a full size container. |

Comments:Gorgeous colours, and I love the names! I found myself wanting to buy ones named after songs I like, even if they colour wasn't "for me". ^^Still in Hollywood is a pretty winey-purple with lots of sparkle. It's fairly subtle, though. I think it goes nicely with Morbid Curiosity from the Gothic Loli line. Black Sunshine looks like crushed fool's gold in the jar! It's so pretty. On my eyes it's a soft black-green-gold with sparkles. Moonage Daydream looks like someone made a peacock's feather into a powder. The subtle colour shifts are gorgeous and you'd have to see it in person to appreciate them fully. |

Comments:Two colors do wonders for my green eyes. Spellbound when I want them really to pop and DoubleDare. DoubleDare is awesome because it is purple, which is known to bring out green, but not overly purple, so it is not so obvious that I am wearing purple eyeshadow. And then the opposing green sparkles help to bring out the green just that much more. It is like a secret weapon for green eyes. It is not obvious that you are wearing purple and green to bring your eye color out, but this color subtely and effectively does just that. No where else (at least in commercialized brands, and trust me, I've tried) can you find such a variety and intricate mix of colors. |

Comments:I haven't read too many reviews of this color, so I feel I should tell you all how great I think it is! First off, I have a warm skin tone, but this is one of those great purple/blue colors that I can actually wear! It can be used without sealant (and applied lightly) as a crease color to give a mysterious midnight blue/purple shadow. Or, when used with a sealant, it becomes a wonderful, shiny eyeliner! Ok, love this color :) Oh, and another color, spellbound, really makes green eyes pop. |

They blend well together and really do last for a good long time, I've gone to bed with some on and woke up with it all still there lol. And when they're on sale it's even better! I adore this product and would love to buy all of the colors, if only I had the money. |

Comments:Good color. When put on heavily, it is a medium brown with blue sparkles. When blended in, it becomes a medium golden brown. The gold definately makes it a warm color. I use it over my eyeliner and as a shader in the crease. I would not call it "dark brown" though. When I put it on in place of eyeliner, even wet-lining..it is just too light. I prefer Drama Cocoa for eyelining. |

Comments:What's not to love about this collection that has such great colors with great names AND so many of them are blacklight reactive. I don't actually go to many places with blacklight -- but my inner geek finds this aspect incredibly appealing. The colors look intense, but many are really soft when applied -- such as 2 of my faves -- psychocandy and agentorange. You can increase the intensity by added applications or by using them wet or with a gel or liquid media. I love that flexibility of intensity. And so many are multi-dimensional -- like the unexpected sparks in deathvalley or the glimmer in coralfang. These are fun colors. You can't have a bad mood when you're wearing a shade called Peek-a-boo. I'm a pretty conservative "old lady" usually when it comes to my clothing and make-up, but I love a splash of Rocks teamed with the more sober mattes. Get samples. Lots of samples. The true colors are always more complex than the photos can show. |

Comments:The colour selection is wonderful. I am so happy that I found these bright colours. Some colours are great and blend well, while others are extremely matte, and fade faster and were harder for me to work with. The colours I really liked were Ozone, Jigsawfeeling, Poisonivy, PlanetEarth, Lazysod, teenagekicks, greenhell, Livewire, and backin black. The ones I did not like were:whitewedding--I liked the colour but the glitter in this is flyaway. Spellbound, lookingforakiss, boilingpoint and strychnine---I like the colour of some of these but some of them were matte and harder to blend, and did not stay on as well on me with my primer, and spellbound did not look as vibrant on me as it does in the bag. I would suggest you get samples before you buy the full size. |

Comments:I love this color. it goes very nicely with Heaven Pure Hue. They shine nicely together. beautiful beautiful beautiful. but the reason why i have rated it 4, is because it doesnt really build like i would like it to. Though it was described to me as having the ability to build to your likeness, though i did put on a lot of creme shadow to help it, it still didnt build to my likeness. thats just my opinion. it is still an awesome product and i will continue using it of course. |

Comments:This color is intense (I suppose one could say that it "rocks" and I love the sparkle. I really love the way the color lasts much longer on the eyelid than most other brand's shadows do. The only reason I didn't give this particular color 5 stars is because (and I know this is inevitable when shopping online) the color was just much more deep orange than I expected. That being said, I like it anyway and it looks great when I want a really bold look. |

My current favorite is endlesssea, it is a gorgeous greenish-blue and only has the slightest bit of glow, rather than a true shimmer. The only color I have been disappointed in so far is suspectdevice -- it looks lovely in the jar but did not show up AT ALL on my skin. And my skin is super pale, so you would think anything would show up! Overall though, I still recommend these eyeshadows! |

Comments:I ordered this in Nightshift - I was looking for something coppery (I am a coppery redhead) and this is beautiful on. The but... part is that this stuff dyes my eyelids! I don't use makeup remover, but use a face wash that does a great job. However, my upper and lower lids retain this color for a couple of days. Maybe because my skin is so fair? Doesn't deter me - I love the stuff. and all Aromaleigh eye colors! |

Comments:ok, well i've been seen around the forum, but not for some time. i figured i better put in my two cents about these awesome shadows since i've had them all since they came out pretty much. i love every single last one of them, i really do. they work great dry, wet, as liners, shadows, basically anything you can imagine you can do with rocks! i've had all 71 shades for over a year now and the only ones i've run out of are whiteriot and whitewedding b/c i used them so much for highlighting. i use these shadows everyday so even though the pots look small that should tell you how long they last and how little you need!my favourite thing to do right now is to mix a lid colour with homemade mixing medium/sealent, then build on that with dry shades. this looks awesome with velvetgoldmine all over the lid and either ringoffire or taintedlove in the crease and outer lid. so hot! i often like to add a bright teal liner winged out then with my sealent for a little contrast.i like to use moonagedaydream b/c the gold shimmer keeps the whole look together. so...those are my thoughts! A+++ for the best shadows on the planet!!! i will never give up my rocks! |

Make no mistake, these colors are very bold, BUT can be buffed down into more muted shades so there is a LOTof versatility! Comments:I'd never seen minerals like this so had to try. How unique!!! Can't say I have left the house yet in these sample colors but I have been having a great time trying the samples I got. The bright colors are hard for a neutral gal like me to master. Very unique idea for mineral makeup, some of the most interesting colors I have ever seen. |

Comments:I love the colors Coralfang, hitormiss and shadowoflove!!! They look great with my blue eyes and wear well all day long. I swear they look better every time I look in the mirror. I wore coralfang today with a peach top and got nonstop "where did you get that eyeshadow" compliments all day long! Can';t waiut to try more colors. |

Comments:I got some of these in the darker shades to get a smoky eye look and they are great! Downward spiral and Blackcelebration are my favorite colors, the sparkle and depth is awesome! I got some brighter colors too, they are great fun to experiment with. I recommend these colors! |

Comments:So much fun. I got samples of these from a friend and tried them, I was afraid of the colors at first biut it was a great time. I looked a lot better in the bright colors than I thought I would! They powders are tricky to use at first but once I got a few brushes I did fine (q tips don't work so well...), and well, I have such a great time doing my makeup now that I am late to work all the time. Have not tried the glow in the dark thing yet. |

Comments:I think I have died and gone to heaven. This is the best selection of bright and sparkly eyeshadows I have yet to find, anywhere! The colors are intense and true, and can be applied wet, dry or with shadow primer to get all kinds of effects. These are loose powders so I mix up my own shades, too. I love these blended with the eyeliner sealant for the most intense look. I've got samples of so many colors and I love them all. I go crazy with the colors even if just for fun. I love that we can get samples so cheap and experiment. |
