"Holistic Aromatherapy for Animals"
by Kristen Leigh BellIf you have read my book and are looking for my holistic aromatherapy formulas for dogs and cats, please note that my book was published in 2002- I no longer sell these formulas. The recipes for the formulas are all available in the book, along with reliable sources for essential oils and related ingredients.
Please note the following:
I do not provide aromatherapy consulting or respond to health related questions.
I am not a veterinarian or a licensed practitioner.
If you email me, in 99% of cases, I will refer you back to my book or to a holistic veterinarian, as I cannot provide you with health or dietary advice.
Please understand that this is not a lack of willingness to help, but I am not required to provide you with free consulting services or email question-and-answer sessions as an aside to my published work.
I am not a virtual "index". Many of the queries that I receive are simple questions that can be answered by reading the book in full or looking at the addendums.
I receive a vast amount of these emails and I cannot respond to them all or provide the assistance requested in all of them. This website, Aromaleigh Mineral Cosmetics, is NOT associated with "Holistic Aromatherapy for Animals" other than the fact that I own Aromaleigh Inc. and I wrote the work referenced above, and I sell my book on this website. Please understand that just because I wrote the book and/or sell the book does not mean that I am required or obliged to provide "technical support" for the book. The email addresses on this website are for those who are purchasing cosmetics and related makeup products, or interested in purchasing cosmetics and related makeup products. Thank you very much for respecting this boundary.
Also, please, please understand that the fact that I do not provide free email or phone consultations for my book also does not mean that I "don't care". This attitude seems to be widely held by passionate pet owners!
Again, I do not sell Holistic Aromatherapy formulas or offer Aromatherapy classes or any sort of degrees in holistic animal aromatherapy. My book does offer formulas for all of the products I did once offer approximately 6 years ago, and reliable sources for purchasing all of the ingredients you might need.
Thank you very much for your understanding. Forgive me for sounding militant at times, but I receive many emails, and these are often extremely passionate and demanding- in which pet owners are yelling at me via email for not responding to them (when I never got emails from them in the first place), chastising me for taking too long to respond to them, ordering me to call them, counsel them and help them. While I understand that people are upset when their pets are sick, and that people love their pets, it is entirely inappropriate to write to the author of a book in this manner simply because there is a website or an email address available in which to do so. I will not respond to you if you are typing in all caps (e.g. "yelling) or writing to me in an abusive or harassing manner.
At this time I am not stocking my book, but it can be purchased at most major book sellers, amazon.com or bn.com
Sincerely,
Kristen Leigh Bell
" Interest
in the use of essential oils and other aromatherapy products for dogs and cats
is growing fast, and so is confusion about their application. Ms. Bell's book is perfectly timed. Her training, experience and research make her
uniquely qualified to write the definitive guide to aromatherapy for pets. The
book will be an instant classic. More importantly, it will help improve the
health of dogs and cats around the world with remedies that are gentle, free
of adverse side effects, easy to use and affordable. I look forward to to quoting
her book in articles on holistic pet health and will recommend it in all my
workshops and seminars.--CJ

" Finally,

Bell's years of expertise in utilizing essential oils is evident in this definitive,
and much needed guide. This book takes the reader step by step on a journey

"Holistic
Aromatherapy for Animals is the latest in a long line of new books on natural
animal health, but this one is very different. Ms. Bell has kept pace
with essential oil science while developing a brand of veterinary aromatherapy
that is at once cautious and practical. This book will be a nice addition to
the pet owner's library and a good reference for the veterinarian - I learned
a lot from it! "
