Aromaleigh's "Satin Petals" frost eyeshadow collection is inspired by the delicate beauty and subtle complexity of lovely Spring flowers...

These satiny spring colors represent several levels of coloration- just like a beautiful flower will have different colors on the top and underside of it's petals and in the center... all very subtle and natural gradations. Think of your eyelids as beautiful flower petals... hilight with Marigold, Petunia, Sweet Pea, Hydrangea, Bluebell and Dandelion! Contour with Foxglove, Coriander, Basil, Verbena or Campanula! Use Amaryllis, Lilypad, Ivy, Lisianthus or Balsam to create a smudgy, smoky look or for wet or dry lining. These shadows have a lustrous, pearlized finish with delicate interplay of color highlights.

NOTE: While we have made all attempts for photographs to accurately depict colors, photography unfortunately does not accurately reveal the depth and interplay of color and effect of these shadows. Also, please note that variations do exist between different computer monitors.

Bluebell
By sparklekitty on July 29, 2009

Comments:

I got Bluebell and wore it today. It has a very slight blue interference, but not overpowering. I have another mineral brand eyeshadow that is white with blue interference, and the interference is so overwhelming that I can't wear it. It makes me look like someone gave me a black eye. So I am glad for the change to Aromaleigh mineral eyeshadows in that regard, and I also love all of the shades in the Satin Petals frost collection. They're all very subtle and understated, which is what I tend to prefer. Thank you again, Aromaleigh!
Ivy - Gr8 darker color for a light-skinned cool
By Lucy on June 11, 2009

Comments:

I got Ivy as a sample and hadn't tried it for at least a year. I'm fair skinned with pink undertones and green/blue (depending on what I'm wearing) eyes. A "smoky eye" makes me look as if I've got a black eye.
I tried Ivy and was very pleased!! It isn't too sparkly. It goes on very smoothly and stays on - no creasing. It looks like "hmm-greyish" in the bag but it is a nice surprise once it meets your eyelid.
Verbena
By Alex on May 11, 2009

Comments:

I agree with Lisa. Verbena is the best for green eyes! Well, one of the best among AL shadows ;) It is great for an understated look that will make green eyes pop.
Verbena - Got hooked on bonus sample!
By Lisa on April 15, 2009

Comments:

I received a bonus sample of Verbena shade of Satin Petals Frost eyeshadow. I didn't ask for it ... I just got it. Such a pleasant surprise, I almost giggled with delight. I fell in love with this shade. It really makes my green eyes pop! Had to come back and order the full size. Thank you!
Hmmm, I might be spoiled
By Arien on April 15, 2009

Comments:

I really wanted to like these. And I do, except that I've ordered these only recently and after having used quite a bit of the newer collections. These are not bad, it migth very well be that I'm spoiled, but I think the newer collections have similar items with better results. I'll keep and use the samples, but doubt I'll buy any full-size.
More than I expected!
By Kim in Texas on February 28, 2009

Comments:

These colors look pale and muted in the jar, but once you get them on, they come alive! They're darker and smokier, which was a wonderful surprise. I bought Lisianthus, Amaryllis, Campanula, Foxglove, Ivy, and Basil. I'm warm to neutral, and these colors all work for me. I just wish I'd bought a couple of the lighter shades for highlighters now :)
shows up white on me
By gothchiq on February 20, 2009

Comments:

These shadows pretty much show up white on me. Now the Sweet Pea, I can see green shimmer and that's an exception. The other pale ones just don't show any color on my skin.

Lisianthus is a neat color, nothing wrong with it per se but on my yellow toned skin I sort of have problems with it. I think this would be best for people with pinkish undertones.
Eh...
By Georgia on January 16, 2009

Comments:

I really wanted to love these e/s but I can't. I ordered foxglove and balsam and love foxglove, but balsam not so much. Foxglove is really not a special color, but these are just frost es, so I didn't expect it to be. It wears well, applies evenly, and is a good neutral if you are looking for one. Balsam has some black or charcoal undertones which are obvious if you touch/spread it with your finger. It is okay when applied with a brush, but the shimmery aspect of it seems to fade throughout the day and you are left with kind of a muddy color.
Amazing!!!!
By Jennifer D. on January 15, 2009

Comments:

I received a sample of Campanula and it blew me away that I had to order a full size of that and also Verbena. The impact of this shadow is just beautiful. This is a good thing--please keep it! Thanks for making wondering products!!!
Sweet Pea
By Ziggy on November 2, 2008

Comments:

Looks white-ish with a subtle pale green, goes well with purples.
Favorite
By Pam on October 20, 2008

Comments:

My choice for a base of color is Satin Petal Petuna. It is the perfect shade for my very fair skin and compliments all of the other colors I love to use to highlight my eyes.
Pretty!
By Susannah M on October 9, 2008

Comments:

This color really is lovely and this size jar lasts a very, very long time.
Beautiful!
By Jennifer on October 7, 2008

Comments:

At first, I wasn't sure I wanted the shadows in this collection, but then I got a sample of Ivy - it's a fabulous green with so many facets, but that is really wearable as well. I've since purchased more - some samples and some full sizes - and can tell you that Marigold, Amaryllis, Balsam, Basil, Campanula and Foxglove are all stunning. They blend well and can be worn soft and subtle or darker and full of mystery!

Pretty Bluebell
By Zhariel on July 30, 2008

Comments:

I picked up Bluebell for a browbone color and I'm really pleased by it. It's true to description and the minerals feel oh so smooth.
Basil eyeshadow
By Elyse on July 30, 2008

Comments:

I love this eyeshadow- a smokey shade that applies very smoothly.
Hydrangea
By Kel on July 14, 2008

Comments:

This is an absolutely beautiful color with such depth! I use it as a crease color and as a gorgeous, long-lasting eyeliner.
Long-lasting color
By Julie Correll on May 13, 2008

Comments:

I wanted a frosty color that came off when I took it off. Found it! Love the color!
beautiful
By heidi on March 31, 2008

Comments:

this color is a great pale highlight on my fair skin. I can wear just a touch of this on my brow bone and skip the rest for a very light natural look that is just a bit brighter than me.
Satin Petals
By AMR on March 28, 2008

Comments:

Love this line! Recently received dandelion as a sample and had to order a full size. It is the perfect neutral for all over the lid or as a highlighter.
Satin Petals
By Pat on March 1, 2008

Comments:

I have loved these since their introduction. I recenlty added several more to my collection. They are utter eyeshadow perfection. They blend beautifully, their shimmer is subtle or full-on, depending on application. I love lilypad as a liner or smoker. Now the new swatches are going to force me to buy the ones I though I did not want. For example, I did not think I wanted Ivy. Now I know I need it.Same for Balsam. I think all the new color swatching may put me in the poorhouse. At least I'll look pretty while I'm there.
Love these shadows

Colors are gorgeous, great application, long lasting...excellent value and service. Thanks!
Great Muted Colors
By Jennifer on August 28, 2007

Comments:

This is an excellent collection if you like soft, muted colors (especially cool colors). I've tried all of the non-matte Aromaleigh shadows that are some shade of "taupe", and I think Foxglove is the perfect taupe! Other colors I've tried include Petunia, Corianer, Campanula, and Verbana. These are nice colors, however, most of them just aren't the best for my skintone (clear, warm, and pale). However, I still use them when I want a change from my usual clear and warm colors!
Frost Eyeshadow
By Cory Sluder on July 3, 2007

Comments:

Beautiful color! Love the eyeshadows and they are so versatile!
Balsam
By Perdita on April 26, 2007

Comments:

Balsam is the most perfect neutral eye color I've found to date. It's greyish but with a shimmer, and just a great everyday color. I wear it all the time and would totally recommend it.
Coriander
By Drew on April 18, 2007

Comments:

I like this color, as it brings out the blue in my eyes.
Balsam
By Danielle on April 10, 2007

Comments:

Balsam is the best subtle dark shade for contouring & shading on the eyes. It has a very subtle glimmer and a muted gray brown. I love it!
Petal soft
By Pam on March 18, 2007

Comments:

The Satin Petals shade I chose is Petunia. It is a soft pink with an hint of opalescense. It brightens the eyes without overpowering them. It is a perfect base color!
Campanula!!!!!!!!
By Bethany on January 25, 2007

Comments:

wow is all I can say for the Campanula shade! I recieved it as one of the sample packets and OMG I fell in love with it from the first use. I love it love it love it! I feel like it makes my blue eyes have a beautiful / sexy/ seductive look to them.
Perfect for me
By Susanna on January 22, 2007

Comments:

I love this color family they are so pretty and perfect type of shades for me I love netrals. These go on soft like they say- SATIN. Gorgeous highlight shades. You won't be disappointed!
Cool highlight colors!
By Terry on January 10, 2007

Comments:

The pale shades in this collection make the best highlighter colors ever! I got samples of them and I love them. Especially petunia, it is a pale white that glows pink. I love to wear pale eyeshadow shades, they make my eyes look big and doe-like, and these type of highlight shades with a color highlight are really unique. I recommend these!
Seductive shadows
By Jane on January 7, 2007

Comments:

This line of shadows is seductive for sure. Soft and silky, like a chemise ! Gorgeous colors, and can be layerd or mixed for signature shades.
Campanula is my Fav Color Ever!
By EagleEyes on December 25, 2006

Comments:

I look best in purples and mauves and it totally surprised me how amazing Campanula Satin Petals looks on me, being on the taupe/brown edge. It has just the right combination of other colors to be neutral yet dynamic. Very silky and a satin sheen. Minimizes eye wrinkles. A great color for client meetings or going out. On a big sale I got many year's worth. I love it that much!
