Perfect your skin before you even apply your foundation... Silk Powder refines your pores and fine lines and primes your face for flawless, even application of your Aromaleigh Mineral Makeup!

Silk powder also contains amino acids and both reflects and absorbs UV rays.
Our Silk Powder is available in a "20 gram" clear plastic jar with sifter. 1/4 teaspoon samples are available at the bottom of this page.
Ingredients: Silk Powder
Size: "20 gram sifter jar", approximately 7 grams net wt. Sample baggies: 1/4 tsp.

Comments:Keeps my very oily skin under control, my pores are less obvious, and my foundation goes on like a dream.Even with my very oily skin in a hot climate there is little to no shine at the end of a day if I use this under my foundation. A little goes a long way so this was a great purchase. |

Comments:I prefer to use pure mineral foundation, but have found that when I get warm and start to perspire a bit (like on hot summer days, or when I work out) my face will sometimes start to itch or even sting a little bit. This has also been a problem when I have exfoliated my face, and my skin therefore has been a bit more sensitive. (This happens with every brand of mineral foundation I have ever tried. Aromaleigh Voile is now my foundation of choice.) I was very happy to find that applying a light layer of Silk Powder prior to my mineral foundation has greatly reduced this problem. I have been using Silk Powder for several months now and almost never experience any discomfort anymore. So now I can happily continue using my mineral makeup. ☺Also, I do think using Silk powder as a primer makes my foundation go on a bit more smoothly. I really like this product and will continue using it in the future. |

Comments:I tried the silk powder for the 1st time when it was on sale, and am happy with it. Especially for hot humid days, just a very very light dusting of this, mainly on areas which can get oily, makes it easier to apply the Voile and blush, AND helps keep my face clean and fresh looking for hours. A new basic for summer. |

Comments:I ordered a sample of the silk powder a few weeks ago but only tried it for the first time a few days ago. This is fantastic! It helps keep my skin feeling and looking smooth, as well as minimizing my pores. I also use this as a finishing powder, it really gives my foundation staying power. I definitely recommend the silk powder primer! |

Comments:Not only minimizes pore size, it covers a lot of the red (I have rosacea), and allows my mineral foundation to glide on effortlessly. I get the best coverage by applying silk powder and mineral foundation with a flat chiseled top brush. Just a little of this primer goes a long way, and I don't go a day without it. |

Comments:This was an impulse purchase for me due to the sale, but I really like this product. I'm probably not using it correctly, but what I do is just lightly dust it over my face before applying my voile. It feels super amazing on your skin--literally like silk!--and seems to even out my skin tone quite a bit. |

Comments:This is hands-down the best primer I have ever used. I have combination skin: very oily T-zone with large pores and very dry cheeks with redness and flaking. I could not believe how good my skin looked after my first application of this primer. After applying my Glissade foundation, my skin looked absolutely flawless. This is one product I will always have. |

Comments:I love this powder! I have always used the Mattifying Primer Powder and really like it, but it got to be a little bit drying during winter. The Silk Powder is great, smooth and silky and also helps eliminate shine. |

Comments:I really love this product - it really helps diminish pores and my makeup stays on all day. It looks even better at the end of the day. I do use my moisturizer first, let it sink in well and I use this with a flocked sponge to get a very light application that is buffed in well. Great product! |

Comments:The silk powder if okay. I think I'll try the other primer next. This powder didn't last at all. I have roscea and flakey skin, didn't help the primer much to stay. |

Comments:I really love this silk primer. When I first got it, I wasn't too impressed. It didn't magically make my crow's feet disappear. As I kept using it, I fell more and more in love. It makes my face so soft. It does help my voile go on more smoothly (and I didn't even think that was possible) and helps protect the skin above my eye crease/below my eyebrow. I'm no where near done with my first order and have just reordered it so I can't possibly run out! |

Comments:I have tried this both by itself and mixed with equal parts Porcelaine. I always apply it (or the mix) with a sponge before my foundation. No matter which way I use it, it does a great job of minimizing pores and giving my skin a smoother, more polished look!I have very oily skin and did not notice any oil control benefits from this product; however, most products don't provide me with any oil control so that's not a disappointment for me. I'll continue to use this silk powder for the pore minimizing properties! |

Comments:I don't know how this stuff works, but it's awesome. I have very bad skin with the pitted scars & oily areas to prove it. This magic dust sets concealers so they don't budge, lets the foundation powders glide over pores, and seems to keep my oily areas in check all day. Plus it feels soooooo soft. I was skeptical when I purchased it, but now I'll buy for as long they'll keep making it. |

Comments:I live in Phoenix, AZ and with the summer heat often over 100 we are always looking at ways to look & stay cool. This really helps during our hot often steamy monsoon season. I did have a slight itchy feeling the first time I applied it, but this went away quickly and I've not had that since. I really like this product & recommend it to anyone thinking of buying it. |

Comments:I really like the silk powder. It makes the voile application smoother, hides my pores, makes my ruddy complexion look more porcelain. A little bit goes a long way - if I put too much on I look a little bit pasty. It also makes my face feel a little "makeupy" for about 15 minutes, but once it melts with my natural face oils that feeling goes away. |

Comments:I'm an esthetician and trained in make-up, so have purchased so many different products.Hard to find product that helps things to stay where you put them. This works, but a little is the trick and only where you or client have a problem with make-up staying for the long day or night ahead. great price. This even keeps face make-up where you put it after a windy day. |

Comments:I bought three 1/4 teaspoon sample sizes and I put it all in one jar and I\'ve been using this for 2 days now. So far nothing spectacular. Pores are still visible, staying power negative. But I do like how I put it on top of my mineral foundation and it creates this sheen look. But I don\'t know, still giving it some more tries. Maybe its just different for everyone. The only reason I bought sample size was because everyone or most of the people were gving it 5 stars.. |

Comments:I bought a sample of this, and I'll definitely be purchasing the full-size product. This feels silky on my skin, and only a very small amount is needed to dust my whole face. It made applying the viole foundation a little bit smoother and seemed to add a bit of coverage to the pores on my nose. Great product. |

Comments:I have used silk powder for a while and love it. Just a touch is all you need. I like to use my fiber optic brush to dust it on as a finishing powder as well, or as a touch up later in the day.My only problem is it was packed too full so I have to take the sifter out for now. We should all have such problems. |

Comments:Forget the liquids, for people with sensitive skin, this stuff is great. I get a beautiful finish when I use it under my AL powder. It can also be combined WITH the MMU. It is virtually invisible, but really valuable. I have especially found that it helps with the undereye area - eliminates a lot of that "crepe" look. |

Comments:For my shiny skin, this is a miracle product! It is the first powder I have EVER used that is able to keep my nose from getting shiny for a good 8 HOURS! That makes this product incredible in my book, as my nose normally gets shiny after just 1-2 hours (after powdering). I should mention though, this can look ashy if over-applied, and I imagine it might be too drying for some girls with dry skin. I am able to use it over my makeup as well, which i appreciate. I purchased 2 full-sized pots after trying the sample and will definitely keep purchasing if I ever run out! |

Comments:Thanks Bridget for the suggestion to use silk powder under my voile and then some porcelaine on top, I was wondering how to incorporate both and that works beautifully for me. Then I just use tissue to dab excess oil throughout the day, use a tad more porcelaine from the handy mini jar, and I'm set. The silk powder gives a nice, smooth, soft canvas to start with. |

Comments:I thought I'd try this out under my Glissade Powder. I'm not yet sure if it's really making any difference or not, but it feels nice going on, and I know it hasn't hurt anything, so I'll keep evaluating. I gave it the 4 stars just because I'm not totally decided yet. |

Comments:I have been using this product for about a week and I love it. It makes my face feel soft and reduces the visibility of my pores. It helps my foundation go on smoothly. I have combination skin and it does not dry out the dry spots. Just be careful not to use too much or you might end up look pale. A little goes a long way. I will definitly keep this product in my routine. |

Comments:I am an oily girl with frequent acne breakouts and sensitive skin...great combo, right? Because of the silicones used in traditional (liquid) primers and my crazy skin, I can not use them. Silk Powder is my savior product! I dust some on before my foundation - matte! LOVE TO SEE MATTE on my face! Then my foundation (viole) and then I do a teeny, tiny bit of Metamorphasis (spritzing in between layers helps me blend better as well). My pores virtually disappear!!! And I only see a *little* bit of shine on my nose midway through the day. Amazing. I will not be without Silk Powder or Metamorphasis!! |

Comments:As an oily gal with visibly noticeable pores, and some blackheads that are just too stubborn to budge despite regular and consistent use of BHAs and AHAs and retinoids, I'm all about the pores.I use Voile usually, although I also like Glissade. I'm used to blotting a couple times a day, too. Just the way I am - no mattifier can stand up to the lubricity of my skin. So, having been through all sorts of primers and oil control products from all sorts of places and at every price point, I've pretty much just given up on anything making a noticeable enough difference to warrant entry into my routine. I tried the silk powder after hearing numerous raves on the forum - mentions of reduction in shine, reduction in the appearance of falkiness, reduction in the appearance of pores and such pushed me over the edge. And I am so happy - I dust this silk powder on before my Voile or Glissade, and immediately my skin looks soft and velvety, not ovelry matte or heavy and caked. Pores DO look much smaller. And I use less Voile for a more poliched and perfected look. AND my face looks fresh even at the end of the day. Granted, I do still blot once in the afternoon, but I'm not LOOKING as shiny as I would without the silk powder. And for a major treat, try this over the liquid primer offered here - PURE PERFECTION, extended wear, reduced shine. My skin looks, well, expensive! And if you are oily, dust a tiny bit of Porcelain OVER the foundation, and you'll get even more shine-free hours from your foundation. |
