My Favorite Collection
By Dawn on September 24, 2009

Comments:

I have seven full-size colors and soon I'll have eight, since they went on sale again.

I love this collection because they're so soft and subtle...not glittery or bold. They do go with everything and when I'm in a hurry to get ready for work a wash of color can be done well with this collection. I like to use Sunny Disposition for highlighting the brow.
Darn, thought I could pass up this collection
By Tally on September 3, 2009

Comments:

Yep, I got free Kristen-picked samples of room service and prim tweed (too cool and/or too muted) and they totally didn't work with my coloring so I thought I didn't need anything from this collection. Then along came Well-Suited (also a free sample by Kristen). Ahhh! I've been wearing this one everyday almost! It is such a no-brainer color and an eye-opening color. Both good things in the morning. Silk Stockings, Buttoned Up, Sunny D, and Persian Kitten coming up!
Buttoned Up
By Demoness on August 14, 2009

Comments:

I can already tell I'm going to need this entire collection, such a pity on the bank account.

Buttoned Up is great for those days you just don't want to deal with blending & just want to even out the lid while having some shimmer glitz to kick it up. So glad I finally got this, skipped sampling & got a full size. Couldn't be happier.
I luv the plushes
By Renee on August 5, 2009

Comments:

The plushes are just too beautiful for words. I use a tiny bit of eyeshadow base, and then apply the plush shadows with a wet brush, as a wash. Subtle and beautiful, never too much. I'm buying the full sizes bit by bit and intend to have the full collection plus a backup of each. If they look pale to you, get a sample and see how they look on skin, and in the light, especially. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. They also layer beautifully over matte colors to create a little more dimension or to tweak the tone a bit, and they make excellent base or highlight colors, too.
Love at first sight!
By MissTat on July 30, 2009

Comments:

I had only received one sample (of Silk Stockings, as a free sample) but I knew that I would love the rest of the collection. So when the 50% off deal came around I went ahead and got the full size collection of all 15 colors! I am not disappointed. These are so versatile!
Ever since I got them I've been wearing at least one every single day, as a highlight, all over lid color for lazy-makeup days, or pairing it with a stronger, brighter color to make it more wearable. Seriously, everyone should have at least a couple of these. The colors are beautiful, they go on so smooth and are not completely matte so they don't feel chalky and dry. "Plush" is definitely a good way to describe the finish of these. They are definitely the type of colors you will go to again and again and again, and for the price they can't be beat!
Building blocks for classic beauty
By Teresa on July 26, 2009

Comments:

I can not improve on the written product details description as it is dead-on perfect, but I can only add that the quality of these Plush shadows is quite simply the best available on the market today, imo.

On those days when you want a "classic beauty" eye look, you NEED these shadows - not for a boom-boom-pow flashy look, but for a tastefully-done, sculpted, elegant eye.

Paying full price is most definitely a fair price, but getting them on sale is what I call a "stupid-good" price - I honestly do feel a bit guilty buying them at the sale price!

As always, I am truly grateful for all things Aromaleigh. :)
I love this eyeshadow!
By Michelle on July 8, 2009

Comments:

This has to be my up most favorite eye shadow line!
Dreamy. Romantic. Just enough color and plays well with color. I originally had received samples of Prim Tweed & Lychee which paired together makes a great combo. So I ordered a billion more samples and discovered this entire line you just can't go wrong! I even pared Prim Tweed with Umber and it looked fantastic. Alone, pared or with one of the cool eye shadow bases Miss K has to offer, you seriously can't go wrong! Never discontinue this line!
Great accent/highlight
By Blair on May 15, 2009

Comments:

I received pink negligee as a sample with my order and really like to wear it paired with a soft brown for a more natural look, or under my brow for highlight. It's a great, multipurpose shade!
Subtle and soft
By Arien on April 15, 2009

Comments:

I ordered some samples of these without really knowing what to expect. I like what I've seen so far, these are very subtle and soft, perfect for "barely there" makeup.
Perfect Sheen of Color
By Decorative Diva on March 22, 2009

Comments:

These lovely pale shades are perfect as a canvas to start your masterpieces! You can use them to highlight or as a wash of color, or on your lids. They impart a nice sheer wash of color without overpowering or having too much shine.
Silk Stockings
By Tina on March 14, 2009

Comments:

Perfect for brightening up your eyes....it's a very pretty color. I use it as an eye base or just to line the bottom of my lids just for a little extra.
"plush" says it all
By mommiepretty on March 9, 2009

Comments:

these shadows are the perfect compromise between pearl and matte finish, w/the barest hint of shimmer keeping these little beauties from being completely matte - I always think pale velvet, w/that slight sheen when you catch it from just the right angle... I ordered a full set of samples when these were first released, and I use one of them every single day (slowly buying full sizes of the ones I use most)... these are truly "safe" yet versatile colours that can be worn anywhere, by anyone - thx Miss K!! :)
Petit Fours: My Go-To Pink!
By Brandy on February 27, 2009

Comments:

I have been enamored by all of the Aromaleigh powders that I have tried so far, but I have to say that my sample of Eye Plush in Petite Fours has really impressed me. The shadow is a silky-smooth in application and the coverage is beautiful; this has a subtle sheen, but is not "shiny" or glittery. And the color is just right for my skin tone.
Subtle & Wearable
By Jennifer on February 13, 2009

Comments:

These colors are very soft and subtle and great for everyday wear. So glad I found your website while Googling mineral makeup a few weeks ago. I've already placed 2 orders and planning a 3rd soon.
One of my favorite AL shadow lines!
By Holly on February 13, 2009

Comments:

I just wanted to update my old review. Since writing it, I've tried all but one of the Eye Plush shades (Sunny Disposition) and I've found myself turning to them more often than any other shadows in my MMU collection.

While the color payoff is subtle, that's what I love about them. I feel comfortable in the Eye Plush shadows. They're never overwhelming, they never compete with the clothes I'm wearing and they always make me feel more polished without feeling made up. While I love my neutrals (Buttoned Up and Prim Tweed are perpetual favorites), I'm also loving Rosy Cheeks, Petit Fours, Dollhouse and Mink Coat. Feather Boa and Baby Blues are a little more colorful than the other shades I've tried from the line and are fun when I want to go a little bolder/more colorful without going full-out COLOR color.

I have full sizes of about half the shades and I'm going to be trying a sample of Sunny Disposition (I'm hoping it can break through my fear of yellow makeup) next!
Smooth softness
By Saila on February 11, 2009

Comments:

These colours are incredibly soft: perfect for more natural looks. I love Persian Kitten and Petit Fours.
Subtle but not boring!
By Jennifer on February 2, 2009

Comments:

These colors are all very soft and subtle, with just the slightest hint of shimmer. The colored ones, such as Feather Boa or Dollhouse, are lovely pastels that work great as highlighters for bolder looks or by themselves for a wash of barely-there color. The more neutral colors such as Persian Kitten and Silk Stockings are great "nude but better" eyeshadows on my pale skin! And Sunny Disposition is a lovely highligher shade. Even though I am normally drawn to warm colors, I was surprised to find that the shade I'm using the most often from this collection is Prim Tweed! It's the first taupe I've tried that doesn't look grey and dull on me, it's just a lovely cool nude shade. I love using it as a lid shade paired with a darker crease color in navy or warm grey for a subtly smokey look!
Prim Tweed
By Laua Mettler on January 30, 2009

Comments:

I love this color! It has just the right amount of shimmer and helps makes my eyes (brown) look bigger and brighter!
Satin Slippers
By Holly on January 28, 2009

Comments:

I didn't expect to like this one enough to get a full size, but wanted to try it because the swatch looked like something I might wear. I have to say, I like this!

The color's hard to pin down on me. It's not really brown, but I wouldn't call it olive, either, at least not in comparison to the fruit. But in comparison to olive skintones, it's a good descriptor. A sort of warmish yellowy brown.

It's pretty and different than my other brown(ish) shadows. I ended up getting a full container since it was on sale.
my new favorites
By Karmen on January 18, 2009

Comments:

Got samples of Mink Coat and Silk Stockings and will be buying full sizes soon. Colors are gorgeous and long lasting. I love the amount of frost/shimmer they have. It's very elegant and classy.
These seem to be higher quality and all around prettier than most mineral eyeshadows I've tried.
Wonderful!
By Lezlie on January 16, 2009

Comments:

I am so thankful that you added these colors to your eyeshadow line. They are perfect for day wear, and are so comfortable. These are my absolute favorite eyeshadows. I have to admit that I am an eyeshadow fanatic. Every time a new color comes out I have to try it! But, these are the ones that I go back to every day. They are soft, comfortable, wearable, blendable, just all around perfect. Please don't ever get rid of them!
Youthful and Soft
By Nicolle on January 4, 2009

Comments:

I have Satin Slippers, Buttoned Up, Rosey Cheeks, and Sunny Disposition. I love what they do for my dark brown eyes. I sampled Feather Boa and love it too.
I just don't know which one to pick next.
What a dilemma !
Soft & subtle
By Holly on December 13, 2008

Comments:

I've tried these in several colors (probably about half of those offered) and while I wasn't initially impressed (I found that there was virtually no color payoff on my lids), but I found that once I applied them over a good primer, they were more in line with what I wanted and showed a subtle variation in colors (some are more obviously different than others). The only one I'm still not liking of the ones I bought is Pink Negligee, which comes off as chalky on my lids.

There's no drama here and many of the shades look very similar on me, but the subtleness is what appeals to me. I don't wear eyeshadow regularly and when I do, I tend to go for a subdued, soft look. The Eye Plush shadows are just that.

Now that I've figured out the key to wearing them, I'm going to get 4 or 5 full size shades to wear when I want to look a little more polished but don't have the time/motivation to get fancy with bolder colors.

I think these are best suited for fair skin, although some may work for those with darker skin tones.
Versatile and universally flattering at any age
By N.R. on November 24, 2008

Comments:

The most delicate frosts I've ever seen.

Use them any way you like: a light dub for "no questions asked" days, or build them up for a look that says nonchalant elegance.

They draw attention to your eyes, not your eye shadows.

Both my mom and I love them all. My mother is in her early 50s, I in late 20s. My mom always dresses like a prim lady, while I prefer experimental fashion. Aromaleigh Eye Plushes are the first fashion common ground we share after a decade of clashes in tastes.

They also work beautifully with other Aromaleigh frosts and balance out the more saturated, daring shades.
Persian Kitten, Silk Stockings, Sunny Disposition
By Naomi Davick on November 9, 2008

Comments:

These Plush shades are a dreamy base to build my eyeshadow looks upon! Silk Stockings and Persian Kitten are lovely velvety nudes, and Sunny Disposition is a great highlighter!
Great Overall Eye Colors
By Ornate Oddities on November 8, 2008

Comments:

These colors are great as every day colors or as an overall color wash. They're subtle colors, with a lovely plush finish that coordinate with just about any color you can imagine. I've tried samples in nearly all of them and they all look great on. They blend easily and apply like a dream.
Loverly
By Inara on November 7, 2008

Comments:

Finally - I'm wearing the makeup, its not wearing me.

I am a petite woman with dark hair and small features, and I've always felt like the makeup sometimes takes over. Furthermore, I have thin, pale skin with deep set dark eyes and dark circles. I jumped right in and ordered three full sizes and probably will end up with nearly the whole collection. This is a line of eye shadow that compliments without taking over. The subtle iridescence is approriate for day, and serves to lighten up my whole eye area. I love these and wear them alone, sometimes even without a vee colour or liner. It gives me a subtle and natural look, which is my preferred daily makup plan anyway. Its me - only better - and isn't that what makeup should be? Loverly!
Ethereal
By azuresandstorm on November 5, 2008

Comments:

These are really beautiful colors, unfortunately for me, they're just too light on my skin(I'm a 3YL). I plan to use them as highlight/under brow colors. They will wash out a darker skintone if used alone. Try blending with the Goth Lol line for iridescent results!
subtle color - encouraged experimentation with lovely results!
By Kristi. on October 28, 2008

Comments:

These shades are subtle... I ordered samples of the whole set and have tried nearly all of them. My faves so far are dollhouse, well-suited, and baby blues. I also like pink negligee. Two things that the eye plush collection has done for me: encouraged me to try new colors that I would not wear prior to this, and experimenting with eyeliner colors... I've found that experimenting with eyeliners (using minerals and a flatliner brush + eyeliner sealant) has the potential to bring out the subtle shades of this collection. For instance, I blended jupiter and violet ruffle for my eyeliner today - with dollhouse and well-suited, and the liner brought out the purple a bit more in the shadow.

I'm a redhead with light/medium skin tone and green eyes.
Great highlighter
By paintednightsky on October 27, 2008

Comments:

I tried pink negligee and dollhouse and they make subtle highlighters. I also tried buttoned up which was alright as well. I wouldn't use it as an eyeshadow by itself, but it makes a great complimentary shadow. The colors I tried are very light and will be trying other colors and getting full sizes of PN and DH.
Nice, but some shades may need re-working.
By Jenney on October 27, 2008

Comments:

I got full-sizes of Petit Fours and Sunny Disposition, then samples of Dollhouse and Feather Boa.

I really do think that Aromaleigh should post photos of these shades swatched on someone's hand, like they did with the Gothic Lolita shadows.

Petit Fours and Feather Boa had so little pigment that the color did not show up, even over a really good eyeshadow base.

Sunny Disposition and Dollhouse, however, are lovely. I wish I'd bought Dollhouse full-sized, instead of Petit Fours.

Next time, I'll get Dollhouse full-sized, and maybe try samples of Rosy Cheeks and Prim Tweed.
Satin slippers
By Joelle Weaver on October 22, 2008

Comments:

Satin Slippers on my skin tone (pale warm tone) appears as a pale yellow-green iridescent shadow. This shade is very flattering if you have golden brown eyes. This shade makes a great base shadow for other mor vivid colors.
