Ultra Resolution Finishing Powder is available in two basic shades- "clear" and "translucent". The "clear" shade should work for just about everyone but those with dark skintones- specifically, women of color, or those with ethnic skintones. We created the "translucent" shade after testing and reading a lot of product reviews of a similar product only offered in clear... and we felt that some consumers felt that a colored version was necessary. So we created one! Again, this "translucent" version is for women with dark skin. If your skin is not dark and very pigmented, the clear (invisible) version will be fine for you.
We've also just added two shades with the slightest bit of glow, "peaches and cream" (a perfectly proper pinky peach) and "english rose" (a tender cool pink, like blushing cheeks). Both add only the tiniest perceptible glint of color, and sheer glow to the skin. The effect is incredibly delicate, but the finish is amazing!
Size: This product is packaged in our "20 gram" clear sifter jar, which holds .5 oz. net vol of product, or an amount of product which is 6 grams net wt. (approximately .2 oz) Yes, our product is a great deal in comparison to the same exact product being sold exclusively on a major makeup site for .35 oz. for $30... and we've got two color choices for you! )

Comments:I have this in clear and English Rose. I mix them with my fountation or use as is. I am trying out a sample of Peaches and Cream and it appears to work as well. Even though I do not have oily skin I get shiny from the creams and sunscream I use. This gives a matte airbrushed look. I use a lip product for my blush and the English Rose is perfect to set it. |

I wear it over my foundation, blush and highlighter and I don't know exactly how it does what it does, but I end up feeling like my skin looks flawless and perfect with it on. Comments:This is the only time I have been less than thrilled with an AL product. I've never given a negative review, but on this one, I just have to. I have used it on several occasions and applied it exactly as recommended with a fiber optic brush (lightly) over my MMU. I've tried it over both Glissade and Voile, and both times it left my very normal skin feeling tight and dry, with no visible improvement in the appearance of my skin or makeup. I also didn't notice that my makeup lasted any longer. Overall, I was very disappointed in this one. I definitely recommend that you sample before you buy. |

Comments:My favorite AL product and finishing powder ever. And while I don't recommend this for women with dry skin,it is great for my oily skin, keeps the shine under control and gives it nice, smooth finish. It also lasts longer than anything I used before (depending on how much sleep I've had and how rested I am, good results can last all day for me, which I did not believe was possible). Just small amount used makes a big difference. I highly recommend getting a sample of this finishing powder. |

Comments:I now have three colors in this. Clear I use occasionally during the day but mostly if I need refreshing and getting rid of shine for an evening out. It gives a clear, matte finish, and I end up looking almost as I did when first applying my make-up in the morning. Do close your eyes and hold your breath when applying though.Translucent I thought originally was too shiny for me, but found in the summer I love the glow with the natural color I get from the sun. And my latest color is peaches and cream. This somehow melts into my face and gives a beautiful glow. You can see tiny pinkish/reddish specks in the baggie but they blend with your skin gorgeously. The rose is similar but a bit too pink/dark on my skin. My only complaint is the effect only lasts a couple hours and then I can't tell much difference with my oily skin. And I wish they came in mini jar size. |

Comments:Well, this is one product I wish I had sampled first instead of diving right in. This formula seems extra gritty to me, and gave my skin a paler and more sparkly finish. Way too drying for my dry winter skin, and a huge disappointment to me. This would be OK as a highlighter, or shoulder/cleavage sheen, but I won't use this on my face. Comments:I apply Ultra resolution Finishing Powder in ”clear” as the last step of my makeup routine. With a fluffy powder brush I dust a very light, even layer all over my face, I use very little product to achieve a good result. I do think that it gives me a softer and more flawless looking finish, and as an added bonus I find it helps set my makeup for the day, giving it a bit more staying power.”clear” is translucent and has no shimmer or sparkle at all which is how I prefer it. If you like a bit more soft shimmer and glow in your finishing powder I would recommend the Ultra Resolution in ”peaches and cream” which I have sampled. |

Comments:I bought this in clear when it first was offered. It looks white, but that's fine, and it finishes the look nicely. My problem with it is that it's so finely-milled that it's very fly-away. I touch my powder brush to it very gently, and the dust flies--up my nose and all around. i've gone back to Illuminator, and am mixing them together, which helps. |

Comments:This finishing powder is light and does feel smooth after application, but the smooth feeling does not last, perhaps only last for a couple of hours. No so-called "High Definition" effect as described. It seems an extra layer to apply for no good reason. Why burden your skin with it? I do not recommend it. |

Comments:The first time I tried it I really did not like the product. It has a very different texture than regular powders, however as I gave it another chance I noticed that this powder will somewhat make your pores just a little less noticeable giving you a nice finish to your face. I have not tried any other colors besides peaches and cream and found this shade to be very lightly pigmented making it a very universal shade. The only flaw of this product is that it might be a little too mattifying, if you have dry skin like myself it can make your skin feel tight but nothing that Mac's Fix+ spray cannot resolve. |

Comments:I have the clear and the peaches and cream.Clear is ... very clear.. cannot see it on my skin but it leaves me with a perfectly flawless look. Peaches and Cream.. is very subtle. Both are applied Very Lightly with a fiber optic brush. The product will leak out of the lid .But I put a round (cut to fit) makeup sponge on top of the sifter. That helps a lot. |

I use it on top of my glissade to give me a trule matte appearance, since I like the texture of glissade better than voile but not the dewy look. You only need a little of this product, and in fact, using more than a little tends to result in a dry, patchy look. Comments:This finishing powder is a little heavier than most finishing powders I've tried in the past. The good thing is that it doesn't stick to itself or go on very heavy at all (like some infomercial brands I've tried in the past), which means you are not lightening the foundation you just spent eons trying to match perfectly to your skin. It's downside, sort of, is that I can't notice any difference after I've applied it (which may very be a good thing to you, LOL). |

Comments:I bought the clear version to try out the pore-minimizing effects, and was pleasantly surprised when I saw myself in the mirror 5 hours later and didn't look oily at all. This is huge for me, because my skin is usually oily within an hour or two of applying mineral makeup. I use Voile foundation, and already get very good coverage and pore reduction from it, although this finishing powder does improve somewhat on the matte look. But, I'm more impressed with the oil control, which I didn't even expect! |

Comments:I ordered the full size of this product after I read all the great reviews. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and I am very, very pleased!! I think this is the perfect finish, and has taken my mineral foundation to a whole new level. I can tell after I brush it on my skin and makeup look perfect. It is not too dewy (because I tend to have normal-oily skin) and not to dry. It looks very soft and smooth. A little does go a long way, too much and I think it can look too white. Also, recently when I was out running errands in the 90+humid southern climate, I happened to check the mirror to notice that the first time EVER, that my face was not oily, but still smooth and soft looking. I was shocked! I am so happy I took a chance on this product, for me it has worked great!! |

It makes my pores look much smaller, the texture of my skin appears 100% smoother, more even toned, and feels silky and soft to the touch. This powder really helps set my makeup, and fills in the lines. Sometimes I even use it as a primer or by itself for a polished no makeup look. Even though I don't think it's done much to control shine (in my case), my face does feel very comfortable and fresh throughout the day, and leaves no sign nor feeling of flakiness and dryness. But I CAN justify this frugal alternative- ESPECIALLY when it makes my skin look so amazing!I use regular liquid foundation, so here are my tips: * DON'T use too much- a little goes a long way!! * If you need powder to alter the color of your foundation just a bit (I do- mine is a half-shade too dark, but my powder lightens it up to the perfect match), mix the Ultra Resolution into your regular powder and apply with a big floofy brush. * If you're just using the UR powder by itself over liquid fdn, I recommend a skunk brush (I have the Sonia Kashuk one), because it picks up less product and you can buff it into your skin. Final thoughts: *big opera voice* LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE! |

Comments:I am liking this powder. I have uber-oily skin and wish that somewhere on this planet there existed a powder that could control that perfectly and that I would actuallyfind it. So far, no dice. But as far as finishing goes, this powder definitely delivers. My skin just looks glow-y and fresh after I apply this. And the affect does last on my oily complexion for much longer than I anticipated. When oil breaks through, I blot and re-apply and look fresh again. Good stuff and you don't need much at all per application ( I use the fiber optic face brush to apply). Just a dab and you're done! |

Umm..., Kristen, could you pretty-please w/Sugar on top ship this to me in a "body-dipping vat size"? ;o) For color reference, I'm very tanned now at level 3 Warm Voile and the translucent is a perfect no-added-color finisher for me. But I think probably when my tan fades down to level 2 Warm and then to 1 Warm I'll be reaching for the clear. |
