"Illuminata Luxe" Mineral Finishing Powder is a more luxurious and advanced formula of "Illuminata" Finishing Powder (Based on Aromaleigh v.1's original "Illuminator" Finishing Powder). It is part of the Illuminata trio of products, designed to finish your look with perfection. Aromaleigh "Illuminata Luxe" Finishing Powder is a translucent, sheer loose mineral cosmetic powder, that contains reflective minerals to give your skin a subtle, more radiant appearance. Fine lines and wrinkles are less dominant, and a fine finish is revealed. It takes the Illuminata formula a step further with the addition of a revolutionary light-diffusing diamond copolymer, which is a spherical powder with an entrapped photoluminescent diamond core. This diamond copolymer ingredient, while not "mineral" or "natural" in nature, adds great benefit to this Finishing Powder's ability to impart a soft-focus effect and minimize the appearance of fine lines. Some companies describe this ingredient as "Diamond Powder", but this is misleading, as there is no loose diamond particles in the formula. The diamond is actually encased within a smooth, spherical particle which is composed of a material known as "PSQ" or, as the official INCI designation for diamond copolymer appears on the product ingredient list, "Benzimidazole Diamond Amidoethyl Urea Carbamoyl Propyl Polymethylsilsesquioxane". (You may see this ingredient also listed as "Polymethylsilsesquioxane/Benzimidazole Diamond Copolymer". This is an outdated designation for this ingredient, which is how the ingredient was originally listed by the manufacturer prior to receiving an official INCI designation.) What is "INCI", you ask? It stands for "International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredient". Basically, a requirement for the listing of ingredients in a cosmetic formulation in order to standardize. It is not- in fact, it is nothing like Mineral Veil, which is intended to tone down glow and mattify the skin. In contrast, Aromaleigh "Illuminata Luxe" Finishing Powder adds a subtle, soft glow, or illuminating effect to the skin, while diffusing light and softening and minimizing fine lines and wrinkles. While it can be used as a finishing powder, it can also be used on its own if you have very even skintone, or use a liquid foundation underneath it. It can also be used over Aromaleigh Gossamer or Dewdrop Mineral Foundation Powders. Please note: This product is most well-suited to pale-medium skintones, as it can lend a chalky appearance to deeper skintones- if in doubt, we suggest that you try a sample! The ingredients are the same as the original Illuminata powder, but with the addition of the diamond copolymer (and it's full INCI designation, of course!)
