Skin swatches, for an alternate perspective! Here's the colors swatched on skin... I waited a few days for sun to photograph these, but it's been rainy and gray for days. So these are photographed indoors, with fill flash. I think some of the colors look darker here than they really are, especially Lady Liberty and Socialite is much more pink, but appears reddish here. I do recommend samples for all!

Comments:I have fallen in love with Skyscraper... It's beautiful and incredibly versatile. I use it on the outer 2/3 with a pale neutral on the inner 1/3 for a soft, sultry daytime look. It also makes a gorgeous smoky eye, especially when used over a grey base (I've been using Smashbox Lava but will definitely try the new fall shade from Aromaleigh). |

Comments:I am a 30-something mother who loves a mix of neutral colors with a little bit of glitz. I am so in love with the four colors I chose.Window Shopping: a little more pinkish than I was expecting but a beautiful pseudo neutral with a wonderful sparkle and shimmer to it. I could see myself wearing this one every single day. Asphalt: An absolutely stunning and vibrant color. Nice and deep for creases with lighter colors or great to do with a smokey eye. It is so unique and looks like a dark brown in many lights to me. I just love it! Concrete Jungle: a medium dark shadow that just catches your eye with all the aqua sparkles. It works great as a light crease color or as well as an all over color. The blue hues are just outstanding though. Brownstone: a light brown that is again a wonderful pseudo neutral. The sparkle just sets it aside from everything else. Like window shopping, I can see this being an every day color. These eyeshadows are great and I cannot wait to pair a few of them with the spring lines I bought recently. They compliment them so well in many ways that I wasn't expecting. Thank you again for amazing colors. I can never find ones like these in person and every time I wear colors from here, my friends just love it and compliment me to death. |

Comments:These are my absoute favorite shades of eyeshadow, made by anyone. They are unique, vibrant, and perfect. They look much darker in the swatches than they do in person and they look so much prettier as well. You must try, My favorite is the Coney Island, Italian Ice ,and Reture to Tiffanys. I'm sad they are a limited edition, maybe some could be added to the rocks since they are so similar. Thank You for much such awesome products. |

Comments:This is the first collection that ever caused me to fall in love with a yellow.I had to buy a full size of Italian Ice because it's just so amazing and pretty. The pink sparkles in it make it the most unique and captivating yellow I've ever seen. |

Comments:These are beautiful and really must be tried! There's something for everyone here - the brights are stunning and clear and the neutrals all have a little something extra that really makes them special. I came away with several of these lovelies, including Girl's Night Out, Late For Work (this color must be seen to be truly appreciated!), Hoity Toity, Neon Lights, and Coney Island. Highly recommended - try these before they're gone! |

Comments:I pondered over this collection for several days and was surprised and my final choices. I'll try not to be duplicative with Kristen's descriptions but that girl is dead on when it comes to describing her colors. Since I am a little emotional when it comes to choosing colors, I'll try to explain in that way as well.Brownstone: Lovely light/midtone golden brownish shade. It's really not even "brown" because it's much lighter than most brown e/s I have. I'd consider it a midtone golden shade. It's not flashy or anything but I could tell right away that it would get a lot of use so it was a must have. Gridlock: When I tested this one out, it felt mysterious and romantic at the same time. I can imagine using it with a lighter/creamy pink in the inner corner of my eyelid and putting Gridlock on the outer 2/3. Line with smoky grey or black liner and voila! I probably won't get a ton of use out of it on a regular basis but it spoke to my heart so I knew I would regret not getting a f/s of it. Lady Liberty: AL has no other color like this one. When I tested it, I paired it with Coco Bean in the crease and it really made the color work for me. I also wet lined with Coco Bean to "marry" the color with my eyes. I have to do this with brighter e/s colors or they just don't look right on me. Neon Lights: The only other "orangey" color I have is Tigrilla and this one is nothing like it. It was what I would call a "sexy" orange. When I tested it, I used Italian Ice in the inner corner (but I do have other yellows that would work just as well hence the reason I didn't get a f/s of it) and Mocha in the outer corner. If I had applied Neon Lights by itself and tried to make a decision, I wouldn't have bought a full size of it. But I like it so much, I needed to find a way to make it wearable for me. So by adding the yellow and brown on either end of it worked very well. It looked like a warm delicious sunset on my eyelids. Rooftop Garden: Simply a sweet yellow-y green that I couldn't live without. It was love at first sight. It would be lovely paired with so many other colors (reds, purples, browns) and just a sweet kiss of color all by itself. Skyscraper: I think this is going to be my new "go to" crease color. It's a warm grey/brown color that is rich beyond belief. It's grey at first glance but blend it out a bit and it turns to a warm brown. It's like having two colors in one. I hope my descriptions help you make your decisions. I should mention that the only reason I didn't purchase a full size of Hustle & Bustle is because of the mistake one AL employee made during packaging. Since I ended up with 3 samples of it, that will suffice. |
