If you have very dry or very oily skin, then you know that sometimes it is tricky to wear mineral eyeshadows without them disappearing or creasing. The solution? Eyeshadow primer/base. Smoothing a tiny amount over your lids helps to keep your shadow in place and prevent creasing. We just added a "Medium" shade to our lineup, as these are now available in light, medium and dark instead of just one shade. What we previously sold as our primer is now labelled as "Light". This shade works well for most, since you use just a tiny bit and put shadow on over it. But if you prefer your primer to be darker, try Medium. We think this will work great for Medium-Deep skintones.
Popular eyeshadow primers can run up to $20-25 for a small jar.
Color stays true and stays on, especially frosty or glimmery shades!
Ingredients: mineral oil, petrolatum, talc, beeswax, ozokerite, paraffin, kaolin, propylparaben, bht, may contain titanium dioxide, iron oxides.
Made in USA.
Size: 5 gm net wt
Price: $9.50
A little bit goes a long way... this pot should last you around 9-12 months!

Comments:This project sort of perplexes me. It melted ridiculously easily - I think I was in Target about 20 minutes when it happened. I\'m not sure if it that changed the texture (but it sure made it messy), but it feels very tacky which sometimes makes it hard to smooth onto my lids. On the other hand, it definitely gives my shadows more pop and staying power vs. bare skin. It\'s definitely worth trying, but I find myself more pleased with my AL cream shadows as a base. (Note from Aromaleigh: The tiniest little bit of this product is all that is needed- just a pat of product on your finger onto the lids. If the product is \"melting\", you are using far more than is needed for amazing results. HTH! |

Comments:I hate to say it, but this did nothing for me. I used it for about two weeks. I tried applying very little & a lot, and nothing woked. If anything, it caused creasing.(NOTE FROM AROMALEIGH: the tiniest amount is what works for this primer. Using a lot will definitely cause creasing) |

Comments:This stuff works great, I love it! But when I purchased it I believed it was natural and only now realizing that it is full of petrochemicals which is disappointing. I wish it was labeled more clearly as one of the \"traditional cosmetics.\"Note from Aromaleigh\" We have full ingredient listing on the site for all products. The ingredients are not in any way hidden. I am sorry that you are not pleased with the product\'s makeup. |

Comments:I've been working with this for about two weeks now. Overall I like the product, but it doesn't work well by itself for my REALLY oily eye lids. I wore just primer and eye makeup the other day put on around 8am and by 3pm I had NO eye makeup left. BUT when I put some porcelaine primer underneath (plus I started adding a bit of silk powder) and then put on a thin layer of the eye primer--my color stays all day 7am-11pm. So three stars because it works okay, but not alone for my OILY eyes. If your eyes are less oily, this should be a great product for you. I would buy again. |

Comments:I bought this product to see how well it would work compared to a cream eye shadow base or a paint pot, and I'm happy to say that it works wonderfully! Now, my eye lids aren't oily, and they're not dry, they're just normal. Just a tiny bit of this primer applied to my eye area, and my shadow stays on all day and doesn't crease. I really like it. I feel like it makes my eye shadow colors more vibrant. |

Comments:This works for about 3 hours to stop creasing on me. However, if I use this base, and then apply a mattifying, mostly talc powder (ahh!!! I know talc), there is no creasing for the whole day. |

Comments:I've used both this shadow base/primer and the creme shadows sold her as a base for my shadows and hand's down I prefer this shadow base. It takes very little to do the job properly. Then I use a brush to pat on my minerals shadows. They last all day long with no creasing. Since it is a light neutral tone with no shimmer, it does not alter the e/s colors in any way (on my level 2 skin). I should also mention that the consistency of the formula does not make the e/s accentuate any crinkles my 40+ eyelids might have. |

Comments:It seems that I have to put on quite a bit to make it work. Then It makes the eyeshadow seem white. I will try it with other shadows to see if that might do a little better for me. I do like it because it does make my eyeshadow last longer that 1hr. |

Comments:How did I ever get by without this stuff? I love the way it makes my eyeshadow rich and helps it stay on. I noticed it also makes blending so much better! Before I would lose pigment when I blended my eyeshadow really well. Not with this stuff! And it blends so smooth. Love it! |

Comments:I'm giving this 3 stars because I haven't entirely made up my mind about it. It does seem to make the shadow colors even more vibrant, which I like. But it still creases. Maybe I just haven't found the best amount to use yet. I tap my finger to get a little on, then i cover that with a little bit of translucent powder I have leftover from Clinique. Then the shadows. Then another light coat of powder to set it. If I leave off the top layer of powder, I still manage to get those weird little eyeliner marks on my brow. I will keep experimenting with amounts and such, but so far, just using a thin layer of Maybelline's dream mousse eyeshadow as a base works better and takes less time. |

Comments:Following the advice of earlier reviews, I used a light hand and spread the primer with my fingers so that it was very thin. Yes, it feels a bit "tacky" at first, but that's not a problem. This Primer should be a MUST HAVE for anyone using the mineral eye colors, as they truly do look more intense and true on the eyelid after priming - and the color lasts all day! Definitely the best shadow primer I've used, and I've been using them most of my life. |

Comments:The primer holds pigments as well as much higher-priced primers. If you have extremely oily eyelids (like mine), it's not totally going to stop creasing... but it does work at least as well as the UDPP and others that I've tried and keeps colors true all day. |

Comments:This has absolute stay power and I can easily blend my colors in, and they do stand out without any creasing. Hence, I think its even better than my MAC paint pots. The only thing that I dislike about this product is that its a little sticky, tacky, I guess its because of the beeswaxm but other than that, I really like it and I certainly did not lose alot (money) for something absolutely stunning. Its works, give it a try. If I dislike anything else, I will be sure to comment on it I've only been using it for one day. ...tata! |

Comments:WOW! I have to say that this stuff really impressed me! I am a very oily girl living in is-it-more-humid-anywhere-else-on-earth Florida and this stuff performs! As a primer and a base - does both -- covers my veiny lids to neutral perfection and it shows the true color of my shadows. I tend to have a slightly heavy hand and had problems with creasing at first - but once I figured it out, WOW. I will never be without this stuff (and it's not likely I'll ever run out either- great value!) Keep in mind, Just a dab'll do ya! |

Comments:What a great value for this wonderful product! I use a taklon brush to pick up a small amount of the product and then evenly apply it over the eye area. Comments:I was surprised this product remained a light cream color even after applied- I guess I thought when applied it would be more akin to the face primer but for the eyelid! However, after using this product I really have seen a difference. The colors stay true and fresh looking, and much less blending and migration into the crease of my eye by the end of the day. Particularly great with the Rocks! shadows - really makes the colors pop. |

Comments:I really like this product for a few reasons:1. It works. It stays on my lids, doesn't shift around, even though I moisturize my lids and they can be a little slick sometimes. 2. It blends easily - no drag. 3. Shadows cling like the dickens - so super long, crease free wear is possible. 4. It keeps colors from shifting, fading, or changing as the day goes on. 5. It works great by itself as an eye area brightener, if you want a natural, polished look. 6. Can also be used as a concealer under the eye - tap into the dark areas and finish with Voile, Glissade, Luminesce Divine, Illuminator, a Coquille or a Perle powder. Yup - this is another "dont want to be without" items! |

Comments:I love the Rocks! bright eyeshadows and using this great primer is a must with these. The colors stay really intense all day long until I wash them off. I am really happy with this primer, it evens out my entire eyelid area like a concealer even on days where I wear just natural shades. And a great price, I was a Benefit gal before I found Aromaleigh. |
