Review of the shades I have tried.
By Robyn B. on August 9, 2009

Comments:

Let me start off by saying that I use an equal parts mix of 2yl, 2y and 2w.

Neutral Lite: I don't have any "circles" to conceal but this shade is perfect for brightening up my under eye area. I lightly pat on the Neutral Lite and then give the area a dusting of Clear Ultra Resolution Finishing Powder. I omit mineral foundation under my eyes because it tends to accentuate my fine lines. So the combination of concealer and URFP evens out my tone in that area very nicely.

Neutral Medium: I use this shade to conceal any little spots or discolorations I might have on the rest of my face. The color is a perfect match and blends right in.

Pink: I tried a sample of this but didn't really find a use for it since I don't have any bluish discolorations to cover.

Lavender: Although lavender concealers are generally used to cover yellowish discolorations, I found that it was a good eye area brightener. I mixed it with the Neutral Lite and it gave me a bright-eyed, well-rested look.

Mint: Supposed to be good for covering reddish discolorations but no matter how lightly I appliedit, it still gave off a greenish cast even after covering it with my mineral foundation. Perhaps my reddish areas just aren't severe enough to warrant using this shade.

In summary, I like the shades that are offered (it's easy to find a match if you sample), the consistency and its lasting effect. Some people have had negative comments about the stiffness of the product but I think if it were creamier, it wouldn't stay on as long as it does.

Neutral Lite and Neutral Medium are keepers. I'm still on the fence about the Lavender. But I'm going to continue to use my sample of it and decide later on whether I need a full size.
Fantastic for undereyes
By Bronwyn on April 26, 2009

Comments:

I have never found a concealer that actually conceals my undereye circles effectively before now - and I have tried all sorts of shades, creams that promise miracles, etc. I have dark purple-indigo circles no matter how much sleep I get, and this product actually hides them AND brightens the undereye area nicely. I will definitely be keeping this as a staple in my makeup kit!
Amazing Product!
By Shantell on April 5, 2009

Comments:

This is simply the absolute best concealer I have ever encountered. I'm 27 with combination skin with dry flaky undereye circles and a few fine lines due to the dryness. EVERY SINGLE concealer I have EVER used made my dry undereyes and fine lines look as though I had strapped a magnifying glass to my face. I had almost given up on concealer until I sampled this as my final attempt to find a good concealer that did its job without making matters worse. I think this may have been sent from heaven. THANK YOU AROMALEIGH!
They Work!
By Jan on October 28, 2008

Comments:

There maybe other products out there that work, too, but I haven't found them. The neutal-medium and the green do an excellent job of covering blemishes and acne scarring. I am very pleased at the results and products.
Great Product!
By Kristel Michele on September 20, 2008

Comments:

At first I was a little hesitant about this product because I googled the ingredients and some have been known to cause clogged pores and/or irritability in some people, and I had sensitive, oily, acne-prone skin. I say had because I recently finished a course of Accutane, and now it just seems like my skin is sensitive, though I do have some redmarks that are slowly fading. Well, I decided to try a few samples of this concealer and after using it for awhile and not noticing any breakouts, I went ahead and ordered the full size in neutral-lite. It's been a few weeks, and I think this concealer suits me just fine! Like many have stated before me, moisturize your skin before putting this on! It makes it easier to blend. It is so nice to just sweep on some concealer and powder and run out the door! This concealer never looks heavy. I will definitely be reordering this!
The only cream concealer I'll ever use again
By Jamie on June 11, 2008

Comments:

I had tried cream concealers in the past and had terrible results - most of the time it would melt off my face halfway through the day and be "makeupy". This stuff is great. The pink works really well for my undereye circles and the neutral lite blends with my skin tone perfectly.

It definitely does go on more smoothly onto moisturized skin, but I also smooth it on with just a tiny dab of water to help it smooth even more.
Quick tip
By Ekatherina on June 10, 2008

Comments:

I second Rita's advice on putting it on skin that has been moisturized - helps it go on a bit more smoothly (but I think this should be a rule for all makeup!)

Also - my skin is very light (1Y) and the rose coquille is a much better color for me, but I love the consistency and creaminess of these concelors. So I dip one finger in the pink cc, another in the alabaster, smush 'em together and apply. Comes out to be a nice lighter color with the same undereye-circle-concealing-power. I know it sounds like a pain in the butt, buying two concealors, but for me it works so well so its just WORTH it :-D

Comments:

The consistency and creaminess are good. I tried several samples, some of which should have worked for me based on descriptions, but they all looked too white on me.
Very nice
By Rita on May 17, 2008

Comments:

Very long-wearing, good coverage concealer. Excellent color selection, and the Pink works wonders under my eyes. It is very thick and stiff feeling in the container, so I apply it immediately after moisturizing. This allows the concealer to soften and blend in beautifully.

I now have the pink, amber and lavender. I am very happy with these purchases. They also work great for eye brow highlighters.
Perfect Dark Circle Concealer
By Rachel on March 31, 2008

Comments:

I use the pink cream concealer to cover dark (blue) circles under my eyes and it works great! I apply it with a taklon concealer brush, then smooth it with the tip of my ring finger to make sure it's perfectly blended. All it takes is a quick sweep of foundation over that to look totally natural and well-rested!
3 stars +
By Alycia on March 28, 2008

Comments:

I like the product, but, wish it went on smoother. I may just have gotten too light of a color, but, it is a bit thick going on.
Great Product
By LG on March 14, 2008

Comments:

I am so happy with this product! It has great coverage for my acne scars and redness, yet is so light you don't know it is on. It goes on so smooth. Another great product.
Great texture!
By Cristin on January 17, 2008

Comments:

This is really the best concealer I've used! LOVE the texture, sinks right in to my under eye skin - I use a bruch to apply and then sort of press my fingertip into it to help it "melt" into my skin. Does a fab job covering up my undereye circles! Still haven't figured out the best shade for me yet - but that's what I love about AL offering samples!!
Amazing!
By Ashleigh on December 13, 2007

Comments:

Dark blonde hair, hazel eyes, medium beige skin tone
This concealer gives me excellent natural looking cover. I use it over moisturized skin and It feels very light. I use it under eyes and to touch up spots.
alabaster
By melynda on December 13, 2007

Comments:

LOVE this! best cover up i have found--ever. used sample first, then mistakenly ordered the powder concealer which did not do as good a job as this. my blemishes have improved as well since finding this, so in addition to great coverage there is now less to need to cover! i am very fair with freckles and "adult acne" or allergy to other products. I'm thrilled to have better skin since finding aromaleigh---thank you, thank you!
Pink then Neutral Lite
By Janet (Asian with very fair skin) on December 5, 2007

Comments:

At last, I've finally found the perfect solution for my undereye dark circle problems. I've use the pink underneath and tab the neutral lite on top. If you have drier skin like mine, do not use any powder on top. That way the finish is dewy and stays moisture the whole day even in office environment.
Very excellent undereye product!
By T on December 1, 2007

Comments:

In summer w/tanned skin I wear Voile level 3 Warm and the Neutral Medium concealer is a perfect match.

As my tan fades I wear Voile level 2 Warm and the Neutral Fair is my match.

In the dead of winter I wear Voile 1 Warm and the Alabaster concealer is my color.

I also use a light dusting of AL's Illuminator powder over the concealer to set it - this eliminates creasing and makes dusting off of any falling e/s a breeze!

great concealer. I was worried about it bothering my sensitive skin. It works well. I'll be getting it in pink as well as this shade.
Wonderful in Pink!
By Chris on November 9, 2007

Comments:

Better late than never: I'm 59 and have searched for years for a great undereye concealer. I've struck gold with the pink concealer. It doesn't cake and does the job very well. I apply it right after my moisturizer. The full size is a Large container. Buy It!
Finally a concealer light enough!
By Abby on November 6, 2007

Comments:

I recently tried a sample of Alabaster, lite and pink. The Alabaster is for me; I can lighten up the lite with it and that works too. The pink is good... for me I need to lighten it with Alabaster. This has got high coverage and is very versatile. Cream concealer has good performance at a great price.

I have very fair skin with redness, rosecea and some broken capillaries. I found this concealer does a good job of evening out my complexion.
Super Concealer

I'm over 50 and this stuff is fabulous. I use the light medium but now that I have read the reviews I want to try the pink to see if it gives my eyes a more youthful glow.
CREAM Concealer
By Janet (Asian with very fair skin) on October 5, 2007

Comments:

I would suggest in the future anyone who is doing the review to please indicate your race/skin tone. People might find it very hellpful. Anyhow, I sampled and ordered Neutral Lite (not sure if the color is switched with Neutral Medium in the color chart) for my dark circles. It is alright color, still making me tired looking. But I do love the consistency and not-so-drying formula. I will try other colors to see if another color is a better cover up for my dark circles.

The only time I'm not wearing my pink cc is when I'm asleep... I won't be caught dead out of bed without it on. It really does make you look totally refreshed.
concealors
By Jane on September 5, 2007

Comments:

Pink cream concealor is excellent for my under eye circles. I often put a dab of Neutral lite over the Pink and blend out to edges of eye area. This leaves a nice look of soft skin, no heavy wrinkles or collection of product in crepey skin areas.
The Lavender is an excellent eye shadow primer for me. Brightens the eye lid area especially post migraine ~.Shadow stays well over it too.
Green/mint is good to spot treat any broken capillaries.
Neutral lite works well on a few scars I have.
They are all very worth having. Love the consistency, durability, and packaging.
Best concealors I have ever tried.
Why did I wait so long?!
By Teresa on August 29, 2007

Comments:

My only complaint about this cream concealer is why did I wait so long to try it!!?? I think it's the best cream concealer I've used to date; it lays down uber easy with no drag or tugging; and thankfully it doesn't settle into the fine lines.
I wear AL's Voile foundation in the Warms and the neutral concealer shades are ideal for me.
If I still need a bit more "under-eye brightening" I use a light dusting of the pink Rose Coquille powder over or under the cream concealer.
And just an FYI - the sample baggie was a bit drier in consistency than what I received in the full size container.
Great quality product
By Jennifer on August 28, 2007

Comments:

First of all, I love texture of the product -- these concealors are the best I've tried for hiding undereye circles, because a little bit goes a long way, and they do not smudge, cake up, or settle into my fine lines like other concealors I've tried. There is a ton of product in a jar, so they are also a great bargain! I have tried several colors, and they all have the same great texture. The Pink concealor was a tad too dark and too pink for hiding the dark circles on my super-pale skin though many other girls love it. These concealors also work well at concealing blemishes. My only complaint is that there are not as many choices for undertones with these concealors compared to other Aromaleigh products. All of the concealors with "Neutral" in the name are too yellow and too beige for my very clear, slightly warm skin, and they would probably be too yellow for cool skintones as well (I think the "Neutral" colors are similar to the Y/L foundations). I am using Lite simply because it is the most clear color and is the closest match for my skin, but is not perfect -- but it looks okay if I apply a layer of my regular Voile foundation on top to blend it in. If you can find a good color match though, these are excellent concealors!

Pink Concealer - wow!
By Kelli on August 13, 2007

Comments:

I ordered a sample of the pink concealer, and I was simply knocked out! A VERY tiny amount under my eyes and circles were completely eradicated. A super light dusting of my matching pure cover concealer, and it stays ALL day. Sort of "wakes my eyes up" too. I should have listened to the gals on the forum when they said to not even bother with a sample, just go for the full size...they were right!
Green for Rosacea
By Tracy on July 30, 2007

Comments:

I use the green on my nose and the other red areas in my t-zone for my red rosacea complexion. I use the fair under my eyes. Before I cover with glissade, my nose looks, well a bit green, but once I put my glissade on, it's great. I am now going to try the pink under my eyes because of all the rave reviews. I was awaiting this product for a long time. I had been using a more expensive product cream concealer that came with 2 colors. I always used up one color first and never needed the 2nd color. The other "circle delete product is .11 oz for the two colors whereas the Aromaleigh product gives you a good 5 grams or .17 oz-Quite a bargain for a great product!

Fake a good night sleep!
By Loida on July 9, 2007

Comments:

The pink concealer is AWESOME! Works on practically all complexions/tones. Cancels out dark circles and spots too. And a little bit goes a long way. IMO, best way to apply is with a taklon brush.

pink & neutral dark
By Therese on June 21, 2007

Comments:

I cannot rave about this concealer enough! After searching for years for an adequate, smooth, creamy concealer for undereye cirlces that will offer fantastic coverage without being obvious, my search is officially OVER! The pink concealer is a miracle product and should be sold by the pound - although with the small amount actually required for such incredible coverage, I guess a pound would last several lifetimes! Highly recommend this cream concealer!!!
Concealer Good-ness
By Carmen on June 21, 2007

I've tried other cream concealers. Aromaleigh is my *new* favorite. A little goes a long way. It's not sticky and it doesn't crease on my eye lid. I use it as concealer and eye shadow primer.
Flawless
By Kathy on May 5, 2007

Comments:

I am a 75% 3YL/25% 2YL foundation combination. I found Neutral Amber to be a perfect match for my coloring and blends flawlessly with my Glissade/Voile mixture. I apply it under my eyes to camoflouge puffy circles and even use it for an eyeshadow primer.
Nice coverage, no creasing
By Megh on April 25, 2007

Comments:

I find that this works even better than my beloved Paula Dorf Magic Stick in terms of coverage (undereye circles!). I make this product work hard, and it doesn't settle in the little creases under my eyes. I highly recommend trying it!
Very creamy
By Danielle on April 10, 2007

Comments:

I'm somewhere around a 3YL and find neutral amber & neutral dark good matches for different things. A concealer brush will give a much better coverage than using fingertips. Very creamy and not cakey at all. Very good coverage too.

Cancels undereye circles

A very good creamy concealer banished my undereye circles. Very pigmented, did not crease , blended well. Neutral medium had some yellow tones that worked well for me.
