New! Bete Noire Special Edition Nourishing Colour Cremes... these richly hued lip cremes are specially formulated with the same lush, mysterious shades as our Bete Noire eyeshadow collection. Three dramatic, yet divinely wearable shades! Bete Noire Colour Cremes are delicately and naturally fragranced with our cocoa essence, and provide the nourishment of a lipbalm while providing wearable color for your lips. Please note, these are not full-coverage lipsticks!

Juliette: If you love our best-selling "Melancholia" balm, you'll love this related, more saturated, frost shade- Juliette. A rich neutral frosted wine tone.

Monique: You've been asking for a spiced brown shade, and here it is! This is a very wearable lustrous brown, with a rosy base. Monique can be worn heavier for a dramatic look, or more sheer for casual days.

Sylvie: Deep lustrous rose with slight bronze undertones and gold sparkles. This is a true romantic lip color. Very wearable, but still delectable and rich.

Size: 0.0975 oz/2.76g

Bete Noire Color Cremes are packaged in slimline natural balm tubes with a purple band label (they match Bete Noire eyeshadow's special packaging!). These tubes give you maximum control over application, while giving maximum preservation to your natural lip products. Natural mineral lip products have an average lifespan of 6-9 months due to the nourishing base oils and butters used in their formulation.

Beautiful colors and they feel wonderful on my lips. I have brown skin so I didnt buy sylvie for it just might be a little to pink for me. Defiantly an A++

I love these 3 lippies. Normally I don't wear brown lippies, but Monique manages to be flattering on me. Juliette is much more my style, since it's a wine, but Sylvie is quite flattering too, as it's a lighter berry shade. These are moisturizing and smell yummy, like chocolate. I really adore Aromaleigh's lippies!

Lovelovelove them all!
By Kim on July 22, 2009

Comments:

I bought all 3 untested, because I've never been disappointed with an AL lippie. OMG, they are lovely all the way round--color, longevity, coverage, lip feel. I especially like that they aren't overly shiny or sparkly. That gives me the option to bling them up with a sheer or sparkly gloss. I'd be sad if these colors were to leave...
Juliette is my favorite lip color ever

Please, please make Juliette part of the permanent collection. I *am* a goth and I wear it at least four days a week! I also got one for my mother (ahem, not a goth) and she already wants a backup. ;)

I got this in monique and it is perfect. I didn't even bother to sample it because I knew I was going to like it.
I have the original color cremes and love how creamy they are. So the second I received this one I tried it but I thought it was dry and not moisturizing. But it was my fault for not letting it thaw out from the cold, we've been having sub zero temps here.
The color lasts a long time and it leaves my lips super soft!

I love this color! The perfect red for me without screaming red!! This is just neutral enough I can wear it with cool or warm reds. I love the texture. I do wish it lasted longer but as it is more of a balm, i love reapplying.
All 3 are Lovely

I started with Monique and loved it so much I got Juliette and Sylvie too. They are deep, romantic shades. Exactly what I've wanted in lipsticks of these shades but was never able to find. Not too shimmery and no gloss. Liner need not apply, but when you do... very Wow !
I love Sylvie

Oh I am so excited to have another brown tone and this one is gorgeous. Reminds me of magnetic which I was sad to see go. Thank you for this one.
Monique is Just Perfect
By Jennifer on December 7, 2008

Comments:

I love brown lippies, so I sampled Monique and immediately got the full size after just one day. It's a great color. A pretty spice brown with just enough rose in it to keep it on the natural side if you wish. One coat, and your lips are a deep natural, two or three and they're a dramatic warm brown. The formula is super moisturizing as well. This is a definite must try for all!!
PLEASE Keep these colors!

I love these colors! I was so excited about the thought of Monique that I ordered 2 without sampling. Needless to say I was not disappointed.

As with all AL lippies, these apply easily and are wonderful for my dry lips, especially in cooler weather. I believe these colors will work for almost everyone.

Kristen, thanks so much for Monique! I wear browns for everyday lip wear, and I have sorely missed Diva and Noir. I also love Amaretto from the Christmas Kit. I hope you'll consider adding Monique and Amaretto to the regular line.
Beauteous Staying Power

I'm a brown lippie person, so I got a full size Monique straight out of the gates without sampling - it is a gorgeous shade of brown with a depth that is extraordinary. The formula is buildable and incredibly long lasting. I was surprised and impressed with how long it lasted. I was furthermore delighted that after 6-7 hours of wear it hadn't traveled or feathered, even though I had skipped liner and applied this on the outside of my lip line. Fab lips with no effort on my part (but much effort on Kristin's part for outdoing herself yet again) - what more could a girl want? Kudos. I will buy MORE MORE MORE and recommend this wholeheartedly.

Another Winner

Love, love, love all three of these! On me, Juliette is a brownish berry red, perfect for my fair skin. This is my new favorite lippie, sexy, not overdone. Monique is just as lovely, and I would describe this a a cool rosy brown, no orange or gold to it at all, and I'm thrilled with the color. Sylvie is a pretty color as well, very wearable. To my eye, it's a soft rosy shade, not too pale, not too vivid.
I'm a big fan of Aromaleigh's lip products, but I find the Bete Noire lippies to be even nicer than the others. I truly think all three of these would work on any skin tone.
Think late 1990s minimalism, not high street Goth
By N.R. on November 24, 2008

Comments:

A series of sultry shades with a wild spirit but behave well.

I was expecting something that yells \"Goth!\", but no they don\'t.

I have pale skin (natural skin tone is slightly lighter than 1W) yet they don\'t make me look particularly goth, just sultry and in a sexy-ish mood. Which was actually a disappointment, since I was aiming for Gothic black-reds. But I suppose that\'s a plus for most people.

The mood is very clean and slick, reminding me of those Steven Meisel and Patrick Demarchelier late 1990s editorials.

If anyone is worried that they\'d make you look like you forgot to take off your Halloween makeup, fear not -- they\'re exquisite grown-up sexy, not cheap costume witch slutty.

Only complaint: What? Only three shades???

And I can do without the cocoa scent... a little too Bonne Bell for me, sorry.

* Note from Aromaleigh: There\'s only 3 shades because these are a special edition lip colors created to pair with the new Bete Noire shadows. These are not a brand new line of Aromaleigh products. Thank you for your review.

3 New Aromaleigh Beauties!
By Teresa on November 13, 2008

Comments:

Juliette - she's most def the beautiful boss out of the bunch; a rich, powerful wine.

Monique - the casual, carefree, earthy beauty. Browns can be tricky but this one is very wearable because of the rosy base. Love it!

Sylvie - my most favorite of the 3; so sweet, innocent, youthful and yes, she's also very romantic. The gold sparkles are the perfect accent.

Kristen, I'm running out of storage space for all of the great new AL products you're pumping out this year! But hey, I could have worse problems....;o)
THANK YOU so much for creating these beauties!
Not just a ltd edition please!
