April 2009's Limited Edition L'Orchidee has had 14/20 shades made permanent! This was one of the year's most popular collections and favorites were Moth, Seed Pearl, Shadow Witch, Tigrilla and Cricket. We're very happy to be able to bring you so many of these Limited Edition colors made permanent thanks to the discontinuation of our Pure Hue Line. Enjoy!
For now, I'm enamored with Orchids! One of my favorite flowers, and one of the most prolific! With over 25,000 estimated species of orchids, and 800 new ones being added each year, the Orchid family is the largest (and in my opinion the most gorgeous!) family of flowering plants.
My orchid inspiration was recently rekindled when I visisted the famous botanical gardens at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. The gardens are legendary, always changing. I was so lucky to catch the orchids! All of the colors in the collection are named after the "common name" of various orchids... and there sure are some interesting ones, that's for sure!

Color descriptions: (Remember, color is subjective, so these are Aromaleigh's color perceptions. They are helpful in assisting with color choice, but everyone sees color differently. Samples are recommended!
1. Jewel: Cool purple with shimmers of coral gold contrasting the purply goodness.
2. Tigrilla: Sure to please, a lustrous tangerine tones enhanced with sparks of iridescent gold.
3. Seed Pearl: A most delicate neutral satin taupe with soft pastel sparkles.
4. Unicorn: Palest yellow luster that phases to a cool blue highlight.
5. Moonset: Deepest purply blue with brilliant diamond shimmer.
6. Tangleroot: Earthy lush green with cool dimensional shimmer sparkles.
7. Moth: Pale and delicate iridescent tones appear softly grey, always changing.
8. Shadow Witch: Midnight smoked blue with surprising golden sparks.
9. Showy: Lovely cool pink frost with blue iridescent sparkles
10.Cricket: Vivid yellow green with bright sparks of iridescent green.
11. Orinoco: Soft peach lustre that reveals a satiny borealis iridescence.
12. Chatterbox: Rich, multi-dimensional brownish mauve smoke with frosted shimmer.
13. Dragon: Fascinating green, muted in tone but with a smoked base and pearl luster.
14. Heart: Rich deep pink with iridescent golden shimmer sparkle.
We've done our best to capture the beauty and multi-dimensional quality of these shades, but like most of our recent collections, these are true vivid gems that can't be completely captured on camera. Rich highlights and lowlights, interference sparkles and shimmer, contrasting glimmer. These shades are romantic and luscious!

Size: L'Orchidee 2009 Eyes are packaged in clear jars with sifter, 1.2 gm net wt jars, the same size as our other Rocks! eyeshadows, Elemental Lustres and Pure Hues (aka "5 gram jars"). These shadows are specially labeled with L'Orchidee labels.
