Aromaleigh is a cutting-edge cosmetics company at the forefront of the micro-formulated makeup and skincare revolution. Women across the nation enjoy Aromaleigh's colorful and affordable line of mineral makeup, natural cosmetics and unique aromatics. Many women for the first time are finally experiencing makeup the way it should be: balancing their desire for color and energy with their need for gentle nature-based ingredients that are kind to their skin.

Aromaleigh was founded by artist and aromatherapist Kristen Leigh Bell, in the early 90's. Kristen draws upon a rich and varied artistic background as her inspiration for Aromaleigh. Her early years were immersed in music, studying piano, cello and viola... then discovering the violin and having hopes of studying at Eastman School of Music before devoting herself to a college career of painting, photography and graphic design and becoming passionately enamored with classical ballet study along the way. Throw writing, modelling, metalsmithing, a penchant for the scientific and several colorful years of bartending into the mix and you have... the rough beginnings of Aromaleigh.

Aromaleigh began with one cobalt blue bottle, a drawer full of essential oils and a dream while Kristen was working as a commercial graphic artist and art director for Saatchi & Saatchi. Becoming increasingly restless with the prospect of working for a large company and doing advertising, Kristen finally set out on her own, starting her own graphic design business while developing Aromaleigh's online presence.

Amongst the most unusual circumstances, Kristen discovered that her much revered love of aromatherapy and holistic healing translated equally well to animals, as her Golden Retriever, Dublin became inspiration for Aromaleigh's earliest aromatherapy products- holistic remedies for dogs and cats. Aromaleigh customers were soon clamoring for their own formulations, and over the course of many years, Aromaleigh finally captured the heartbeat of their customers in the most personal and colorful or ways- the cosmetics which women adorn themselves with on a daily basis. During this journey, Kristen wrote "Holistic Aromatherapy for Animals" (Findhorn/Lantern Press), and accomplished her greatest feat of all- becoming a mother.

Aromaleigh has been providing natural products online since 1998. Kristen continues to provide creative and artistic direction for all aspects of Aromaleigh and Aromaleigh products, as well as manage the company with the assistance of Aromaleigh's Director of Customer and Internet Relations, Amy Shelton– and a wonderful team of hard-working and creative individuals.
